CHAPTER 6: Friends

I am already in the classroom reading books when one of my classmates called me "Songhye! Someone's looking for you" she said and I stand up "Okay thanks" I put my books in my table and then go outside. "You prick" Nayeon said head locking me "Yah! Stop it!" I said and she continued laughing "why are you laughing! Let me go!" I said and she did "You prick! You didn't even bother introducing your boyfriend to us!" Yunmi said and my eyes just exploded "What boyfriend!" I yelled "They follow you yesterday and saw you with a guy at a café" Wonyoung said "Oh that? He's not my boyfriend and I am still single!" I yelled at them Neyeon pout "Awww, we thought you have your first one now" she said "Fuck off, I need to study" I said "*gasp* how dare you treat us like that" Yunmi said and I laugh "Okay fine, my dear friends go now" I said and they laugh except for Wonyoung who is looking at me seriously "What's wrong?" I asked her "Yunmi, Nayeon go first I'll talk to Songhye" she said and I am dying out of curiosity "Now you follow me" Wonyoung said and we go to the school garden

"What now?" I asked her and she cross her hands "Don't you even dare lie to me, is that guy at the café Namjoon" she said and I looked to my right "You can't lie to me, Namjoon is our classmate since grade school and I knew his presence from head to toe" she said and I sigh "Yeah" I said "Songhye look, Yunmi and Nayeon are always ready to bully Namjoon but I keep stopping them, cause you like Namjoon" Wonyoung said, yes Wonyoung knew and she is supporting me "I don't want you to get hurt when that time comes, when I can no longer stop Yunmi and Nayeon" she added "I know, I am not getting attached don't worry" I said and she smiled "Okay, but make sure cause I don't want to see you cry" she said "yeah 100 percent sure" I said and we both head back to our respective class.

NAMJOON'S POV

I am walking with Jinwoo for 7 minutes now and he is still nagging me "You little son of a-" he was about to curse but I stop him "No cursing" I said "You don't stop me when I am nagging you! Why are home late last night!" he yelled and everyone is looking at us already "have you decided to be a bad boy now!" he yelled once again and this time I am covering my ears "Hyung!" I yelled and he looked at me with his eyes lit up "What!" okay bad idea, he really is angry "I said I was outside last night, because I was studying!" I said and he calmed down "Why didn't you tell me that when we are at the house!" he said "cause you weren't listening when I am explaining to auntie!" I said and he sigh "Okay fine, my fault" he said but then he stopped talking

"Why study outside when there's our house!?" here he go again "Shut up, I was with someone" I said covering his mouth "who is it?" he asked taking my hand off his mouth "Songhye" I said and he hit my head "What was that for!" I said "Did you do something stupid!?" he yelled "stop yelling we are in Grade 9 we are too young for that!" I yelled and he cross his arms "Just making sure" he said "If you care for her that much talk to her" I said "You piece of- you literally forgot Songhye was my best friend before do you" he said and my eyes are wide "so that's why she know you!" I said "Yes! Gosh" he said but I was more confused since he didn't even bother telling me why are they avoiding each other "But why do you avoid her?" I asked and he looked at me "To much information" he said "But I am your cousin!" I complained but he somehow manage to escape the question "Oh look your classroom, go inside now" he said then run away "Hey! Jinwoo!" I yelled but he didn't bother looking back"

"aish" I said and turn around but when I did I met Songhye's eyes "Namjoon!" she said and I somehow smiled "Songhye, am I late?" I asked and she shook her head "do you think I'll be standing here when there's a teacher?" she asked me and I look away out of embarrassment "By the way, the teachers are busy so there are no teachers today" she said "Oh okay" I said and put my bag in my chair "Let's walk around!" she suddenly said "O-oh o-okay" I said and she drag me out

"Hey what if someone see us?" I asked and she just frown "Then they saw us, who cares" she said and I snickered "That's harsh" I said "Oh by the way, I just happen to remember, we're classmates in Grade school right?" I asked and she nod "Now you remember!" she said and I smiled "And your Jinwoo's best friend" I added and she stopped walking "Yeah...." She said and I looked at her "Did I said something wrong?" I asked her "It's nothing I just miss him" she said "Oh okay, but can you tell me why you two are avoiding each other" I asked and she nod "Okay, I guess so" she started "When we are in grade school we are close super close that no one can separate us even the teachers we have, but when we enter high school I became famous, he too became famous but I don't know why he started avoiding me, when he did that I got used to it somehow, that's why it looked like we are avoiding each other even though he is the one who's doing it" she explained and I just nod "That's too much" I said "*laughs* don't bother, that's nothing we'll make up someday" she said and I just sighed "Okay" I said and we continued to walk around.....
