the warm summer heat floods the car as i roll down the rickety window, resting my dirty feet on the dash board.
walcott by vampire weekend blasted obnoxiously loud from the radio, filling the comfortable silence. i look over at the bodacious dirty blonde boy in the drivers seat beside me, admiring the way he looks.
sand in his hair, sun kissed cheeks, a smile that could light up the night. we had arrived at our special place, a field across from the airport so we could watch the sunset and all the airplanes take flight.
laying there in the damp grass as the airplanes cut through the sky, i knew i wanted to stay with him forever.
