4. Happy painful birthday!

April/SoulStar's POV;

Me and IronHide were almost at my house so I decided to talk to him before I had to go do stuff, "You will wake me up from my slumber before you leave correct?"

He nodded, "Yeah, I'll activate my holoform and wake you up at 11 sharp, then from there you can get into my alt mode and then I'll wake up BumbleBee." I smiled in agreement. My house was coming into view so I told IronHide to ditch the holoform. After he was gone, I parked the truck and hopped out. When I went into my house, I found it completely empty. Not even the tv was on. Something was wrong. I grabbed moms bat and held it close.

I felt my pupils getting wider and wider until I could see as if I was a wolf. I stumbled back a step, "Woah." I breathed.

Suddenly, the lights came on, "SURPRISE!"

"AH!" I held a hand to my chest and looked at my laughing family, "Dont do that guys! You are going to give me a heart-attack!" Sam laughed louder at this and I glared at him, but eventually I ended up laughing even louder with the rest of my family. "W-what is this anyways?" I asked them.

They all smiled and Mom and Dad went into the kitchen and Sam looped an arm through mine, "Follow us, dear sister." I looked at him strangely but smiled noneless and followed them. When I got into the kitchen, they had a cake on the table with sixteen lit candles and a box wrapped in colourful paper beside it.

I face-palmed, smiling, had I seriously forgot that today was my birthday?! I looked up and smiled widely, "Guys, this is amazing. Thankyou so much." They all smiled and Mom stepped forwards, "Make a wish sweetheart." I smiled sweetly at her, and looked at the candles, I sucked in a breath, and then blew out a breath with all my might.

And no, I'm not telling you what I wished for.

The flames danced across the candles for a second, before disappearing completely from sight. My Mom squealed and took a picture with a camera that seemed to have suddenly appeared.... Or my Mom is a super fast sneaky ninja. I eyed the icing on the cake and Sam laughed, "Common, let's dig in already!" We both laughed and Mom handed me the knife. I cut into the cake and sniffed the air, the sweet, moist aroma of the cake was almost intoxicating. I cut two small slices and an extra large one for oppi.

Wait-

Oppi?

I almost started freaking out when I felt part of my body inside shifitng and changing, bones slowly turning into metal, blood into energon, and my current memories being overpowered by my Cybertronian ones.

I took a deep breath and put on a fake smile, "I love you guys so much right now." They all chuckled and we digged in. I savored the rare taste of pure sugar on my tongue and closed my eyes from behind my goggles.

A few bites later, and some small talk, we had all disposed of our dishes and moved back to the table. Sam picked up the medium sized box and handed it to me, "This is from all of us, hope you like it." I took the box from him and grinned, "Thanks guys." I said softly. I started to violently rip off the wraping suddenly; probably startelling my parents, and opoened the box. Inside it was a long, slim, silky chain that held four smooth silver rings on it. Each ring had a name written in cursive on it, if I looked closely, I could see the names; Sam, June, Ron and April on them. I smiled widely and looked at my parents and Sam, "Oh my Primus, guys I love it." They all smiled but confusion shone in their eyes for when I said Primus, "Sam, brother can you help me put it on?" I asked him and he nodded happily.

When he was done putting it on, he stepped back but pulled me into a hug. Mumma and oppi came up and hugged me aswell. A moment later, after they finally let go, I laughed, "This is too sappy for me to handle." Sam laughed, whilst Mumma and oppi just smiled and went to go put some stuff away.

I was so happy, first I find out who I am, then I find out that my old best friend is on the same planet as me, and then I get anawesome surprise from my family. I turned to go around and up to my room to sleep, but groaned in pain as my new metal bones had pressure put on them for the first time. I sucked on my teeth, but continued walking anyways. When I got to my room I looked out the window and saw ironHide calmly parked in the driveway. I turned around and fell on my bed.

The moment my eyes hit the pillow I was out like a light.

TIME SKIP TO 11:37pm;

I was woken up by a pressure on my back, and me being rocked back and forth rather roughly. I opened my eyes and turned around to face the one who dares desturb me from my recharging, "What do you want?" I snarled but then clamped a hand over my mouth, "Sorry, didn't realize it was you, let's go." I stood up and jumped out of my bed and landed softly on the floor without making any sounde with my pedes. IronHide shook his head, but smiled noneless and opened my window. He jumped out and landed softly on the ground and I stood up on the window sill. I was a bit nervous, but what the hell. I stood up straighter and then jumped. I felt my coat flapping around behind me for a while until I reached the ground. I stood up and looked at IronHide who was staring at me. I quickly looked away and started walking towards his alt mode. I opened the door and jumped into the passenger seat. A klick later IronHide opened the door on his side and hopped in. We drove in silence for a while but I was gritting my teeth in pain the whole time. I could feel the changes now and they hurt like a glitch.

Finally, we arrived at the spot where they would contact my oppi. I noticed BumbleBee was already there and waiting in his alt mode. IronHide drove up too him and I hopped out of his alt mode so I wouldnt be crushed when he transformed. BumbleBee transformed and looked at me shocked. I smiled and waved at him. He turned and looked at IronHide and talked through the radio, "She's not screaming, s-s-s-screaming! She's not running in fear from the monster you've become! Why-" I frowned, how come he was not using his usuall voice? I rather liked his voice. IronHide must've noticed my frown because he turned to me and started explaining, "Bee had his voicebox ripped out in battle by Megatron." I growled and kicked a stone that went flying of into the distance. I started at the rock with wide eyes. Holly frag that was a strong kick. BumbleBee just shook his head and shrugged while he turned around and powered up the part of him that would project the AutoBot insigna. I heared a gasp about a hundred feet away and turned around.

It was Sam. Ugh, my idiot brother just couldnt stay in bed. I huffed and turned back to the bots. They where both doing the weird 'chest-up-to-the-sky-and-this-weird-symbol-will-just-come-projecting-out-of-it' thing. I heard some barking and almost laughed when Sam squealed and some dogs started chasing him, they probably had rabies.

I turned to look at IronHide and nodded to him. He looked at Bee and waved him over. When they were both here, I was about to speak when agonizing pain coursd through the every single fiber of my body. I fell down to my all fours and opened my mouth to scream but I was in so much pain that no sound came out. I felt my optics become red and my skin slowly become a hard, cold purple metal. I felt my audio receptors become a dark almost black coulor and elongate into pointed ones. This went on for about a few klicks until I could finally stand up.

I looked at IronHide and BumbleBee who's optics were both wide with shock and surprise. I looked at my clothes and goggles, which were all ripped up, "Aww man, I loved that coat." I said in my odd deep voice then turned back to my mech friends, "So, you going to give old SoulStar a hug or just stare at me the whole day?" This seemed to snap them out of their shock, and they rushed towards me and hugged me tightly. Bee kept on chirping happily and I smiled in glee,

I was finally with them.
