chapter 2 why me

Brooklyn POV
The teacher was about to say our partners when someone walked though the door I turned my head to the door and it was andy "sorry im late ms" Andy said grabbing a open seat he looked over at me and his eyes widen "its ok just try not to be late next time" our music teacher said
As the teacher was listing partners rye taped me "is that andy?" He whisperd to me "yeah that's Andy" i said with a smile "he looks really different" rye said looking at him "he changed a lot over the summer" I said then I started to listen to the teacher again "Rye and andy,sonny and......." She looked around the to and then her eyes landed on me "Brooklyn and those are the partner you guy's have to get each other numbers so you guys can meet up for the project, so this project will be where you and your partner have to make a song together and then sing it in front of the class and you guys have two weeks" I sighed why me,ughh Sonny's probably just gonna beat me up Every time we meet up, my life is hell. As class went on I was more scared of what sonny was gonna do to me when class was over and then class was over me and andy waited a bit while rye just went out before us walked out of  before us and then we left out the room,I was trying to rush but the sonny yelled "yo fagot hold up" I stopped and turned around and Andy didn't even notice I stopped "h-h-i Son-ny" I standing in front of him "give me you phone now" I took my phone out my pocket and gave it to him, he did something and then handed the phone back to me "we're meeting up at your place after school OK" he said looking me straight in the eye "o-o-ok" and with that I went to lunch and I found jack and Andy siting at a table
I sat down in between to andy "where'd you go" Andy said "sonny gave me his numbers so we can meet up after school" I said taking out my lunch then I saw rye running over to our table "here Andy" he handed Andy a paper and went back to the popular table, I turned over to jack and he was shoving Skittles down his mouth I smiled "jack  mate your gonna choke if you dont slow down with them skittles " i said " come on brook  dont be a party pooper I just wanna taste the rainbow" we all started laughing.when school was over i went over to mine and sonny locker and grabed my stuff and then Sonny showed up at my locker "move fagot" he said so I moved to the side he grabed him stuff and locked the locker "come on" he said we then walked out of school "do you have a car or something" sonny said "um..no my mom is picking me up" I said looking down at the floor he didnt say anything a few minutes later my mom pull up in front of us "oh brook who's this" she said "this is sonny" I said "well nice to meet sonny" my mom said "nice to meet you too" sonny said and then I opened the car door and me and sonny got in then we drove off the car ride was silent until my mom said something "so sonny are you Brooklyn's new friend or something" I looked over at sonny and he gave me a look back "yeah I guess so we got partnered for a project" he said "oh that's cool" my mom said then the car went silent again I was slitly shaking I was so scread that sonny will beat me up when we get to my house. When got to my  house we got out the car and went into the house "ok mom we will be in my room" I said "ok hun" she said back I then showed sonny to my room "Ok the is my room so let's get started on the project" I said to sonny and closed the door and sat on my bed "we should get to know each other...you know...to get the feel of the music going..you know what I mean?" I giggled "yeah I know what you mean" sonny gave a little smile "wanna play 20 questions" I said "yeah sounds good" sonny said sitting down next to me "ok,I'll go frist,do you have any siblings?" Sonny smiled "yeah I have two sisters,lolly and sharna" I smile at the thought of having two sisters "okay now my turn have you ever had a boyfriend" I looked at the ground "yeah i had one before" I said looking back up at Sonny "okay my turn have you ever had a girlfriend" Sonny chuckled "nah not really girl type guy" wait what does this mean he's gay I mean he's basically saying that he doesn't like girls or is he just fooling with me then a buzz went off  he took his phone out of his pocket his eyes widened a look of worriedness washed over his eyes
"Um brooklyn I have to go sorry" he said he ran out my room I was confused first why was he being nice too me and second what was wrong he looked scared and worryed even though he's my bully I hope everythings ok.

Sonny's POV
my phone buzzed I took it out my pocket to see I got a text from my dad so I opened the text

Dad☠️:where the fuck are you, you better get your ass home now

My eyes widened  now I was scared "um Brooklyn I have to go sorry" I said and got up ran out his room and ran down the stairs and out his house. I had to run all the way to my house which is a little far from Brooklyns house.when I got to my house I open the door and my dad was on the coach with a bottle of vodka in his hand "where the fuck have you been" my dad said standing up "i-i-i was a-t a fri-ends h-ouse fo-r a proje-ct" I stuttered as my dad got closer to me
"DID I FUCKING SAY YOU CAN GO TO SOMEONES HOUSE FOR SOME DUMD ASS PROJECT" he said grabbing me by my shirt "n-o si-r" I said with fear "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT, HUH YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT" He said spitting in my face Then he threw me on the floor "LOLLY  GET ME MY BELT" he yelled and my face dropped,then lolly came down with the belt crying "good girl" he said giving her a kiss on the cheek she looked at me with an I'm sorry look then went back up stairs I was still on the floor and my dad walked over so to me and hit me with the belt over and over again I was now screaming in pain but he did stop, a few minutes later he finally stopped I couldn't move I was in so much  pain "GO TO YOUR ROOM NOW" he screamed and sat back down on the couch, I slowly crawled up the stairs until I got to my room  "lolly pist pist lolly" I whispered quietly then lolly came out of her room and ran over to me "are you okay" she said crying "yeah I'm okay don't worry can you just help me get in my room" I said quietly "yeah" she opened my door and I crawled in and she put my pillow and blanket on the floor because there's no way I can get on my bed "thanks lolly" she smiled "I love you brother" she said hugging me "I love you too lolly" I said and with that she turned off the light and closed the door, then my phone buzzed

Brooklyn😒:is everything okay,you look worryed when you left

Me:everything is fine,its none of your business anyway

Brooklyn😒:oh okay just seeing if you were ok,have a good sleep goodnight sonny 🙂

Me:goodnight 😐

Why is he being nice to me I always bully him I just don't get it,I put my phone back in my pocket,soon I fell asleep thinking about Brooklyn for some reason.
