"Soulmates" you think. "Such an old thought, I mean only one person for your entier life? No thanks". And thats when it happens, the universe wanting to put you in your place pulls you toward your destiny, your 'Soulmate' and in what only seems like a moment of pure fire and light you aren't you anymore, you're more than you, you are a we, we have become one, two halfs of one whole, a full being. This is a common occurance in the 24'th century, people don't think Soulmates are real anymore, one could say the universe was tired of having to let things run their course, taking fate back into their hands, all over the world groups of two or more people would disapear and one would reapear trying to function and deal with how they are whole, complete, with the 'one person for your entier life', and thats where your story would start.
