"Hey, wake up." Dad says as he shakes me awake. "How long have you been sleeping here?" He asks me and looks around my bedroom at the apartment.
"Ever since I got back. I can't stay in that house. I had to move on." I tell him and he nods.
"Wish you would have told me. I would have stayed here with you." He tells me.
"No, Jer and Elena need you at the house." I tell him and sit up in bed facing away from him.
"Phoebe, don't get me wrong, I love Jeremy and Elena. But you are my daughter. And I need to take care of you first." He tells me.
"I'm fine. So, why did you wake me up?" I ask him.
"We're gonna goto that cave at the lockwood's and take pictures of the symbols." He tells me. "Call Elena, see if she wants to go with us." He tells me.
"She's on Stefan duty today. Still trying to break through." I tell him. "Let's go." I say as I grab a sweatshirt. I'm wearing leggings and a t-shirt.

"So Tyler and the Lockwood's really had no idea this was under their property?" I ask him as we walk into the cave.
"Yeah, careful where you shine that thing. Bats hate the light." He tells me and I freeze.
"Wait, what?" I ask him.
"Phoebe." I hear a whisper behind me and turn around to see Damon and I jump back.
"God, Damon. Are you ever not an ass?" I ask him.
"Scaredy-cat." Is all he says.
"Just ignore him. That's what I do." Dad tells me and I laugh and turn around to follow him.
"This is as far as I get to go." Damon says and dad and I walk into th cave. I look around and see a lot of drawings and gasp.
"Woah, what does all this mean?" I ask them.
"Well, as far as I can tell, It's a story. In simple archeological terms, it's a really, really old story. That right there is a moon cycle. A man. A wolf." He says.
"A werewolf."
"Yeah. It's the Lockwood diaries, pictionary style." Damon says.
"I don't understand. I thought the lockwood's came here with the original founders in the 1860's." I say. " So, maybe this isn't the lockwood's. Maybe they're a different pack." I say and set down my bag.
"It gets better. Show her Ric." Damon tells him.
"Names. They're not native. They're written in runic, a viking script." He tells me and I walk over to see them. "This name here, when translated. It means, Niklaus. And Elijah... Rebekah... and this one..." He trails off.
"What is it?" I ask him.
"It translates to Naomi." He tells me.
"So, these are the original families names. And my past life, I guess." I realize.
"Carved into a cave that's been here since way before the founding of Mystic Falls or even the entire new world actually." He tells me and I think back to Elijah's story. He told me more than he told Elena. He wanted me to know the origins of Naomi and his family. "We thought this could another one of Klaus' fakes." He tells me and I shake my head.
"Naomi's name is up there." I say.
"The last name, here. It's Mikael." He tells me.
"Mikael, the vampire who hunts vampires." I say.
"Yep, and the one who knows how to kill Klaus." Damon says. "And I like to call him Papa Original." Damon jokes. Dad and I start to take pictures of all of the signs and the whole story together. We get them printed and then head back to the apartment and place them on the table. Dad and I try to decipher the images and Damon and Elena train.
"Ghost of Christmas past, Mason Lockwood. Said the cave would lead us to some weapon to kill Klaus." Damon says.
"Yeah, but doesn't Mikael have a weapon?" Elena asks.
"Yes, which means the wall will probably lead us to Mikael, who've we already found, and already lost." Damon explains.
"These images, at the very least might tell us what that weapon is." Dad says.
"Then, let's figure out what they mean." I say.
"Fine. Fine. If I'm being irritatingly optimistic like you three. How do you suppose we do that?" He asks us.
"Well, if the family is about the original family living here. Then we go straight to the source." She says and takes my hand and drags me out of the apartment.
"Why am I going with you?" I ask her.
"Rebekah likes you. She'll talk if you're there." She tells me and I sigh.

We head to the school and Rebekah is there for cheer practice.
"You. Goody. Hey Phoebe. Missed you." She says and gives me a hug and I hug back and smile at her.
"We were hoping we could talk." Elena tells her.
"About what? Stefan? Don't worry. I'm off him until he starts treating me better. In fact, you should probably take a page out of my book, if I'm being honest." She says.
"Actually I'd rather talk about this." Elena says holding up the picture of Rebekah's name. "I'm curious why you and Klaus have spent a thousand years running from your father." Elena says and Rebekah looks at me. I give her an apologetic look. I knew why they're were running. Or I had an idea. Elijah told me the story.
"I should get back to the girls. Homecoming's right around the corner." She says and I go to pull Elena away.
"Well, then maybe I'll ask Mikael when we wake him." She says.
"You're bluffing. You don't know where he is. No one does." She says.
"So then who's rotting in that old cemetery on charlotte?" Elena asks and I pull her arm and she moves it from my grasp.
"If you wake Mikael, we are all doomed. Why do you want to know?" She asks.
"Why don't you want me to wake him?" Elena asks.
"I need to get back to the girls." She says and gives me one last glance and I nod. She smiles at me and walks away. We make our way back to the apartment.
"She's going to tell me. She's scared of him Damon. I saw her face. I just have to engage in a little mean-girl power struggle first." She tells him over the phone. "I've got this Damon. If we can figure out a way to free Klaus, Stefan will be rid of his compulsion. So how does he look?" She asks and I walk to my room. I'm in there laying on my bed for not 5 minutes when Elena walks in.
"I just wanted a few minutes of peace and quiet." I tell her.
"Rebekah texted. She wants to meet. She won't talk unless you're there." She tells me.
"Fine." I say and get up and walks past her out of my room.
