Words for my lost beloved

I still hear your voice in my head,
my heart still rushes as I hear it.
I hold on to the old memories I have of you, wondering:
"Would you also remember me?"

Back then, we thought we'd be together forever,
laughing without worries.
We were happy thinking that way,
but that thought just makes me want to cry now.

Your last words back then were
"Thank you for everything until now";
Something you won't ever be able to say to me again.

I want to see you,
to see the "you" who no longer has a voice or a body,
I still shout your name at the world.

I know this words might not reach you,
but I have the hope that you'll hear me.

I look up at the sky,
searching for you...

And so, I'm still wearing the ring that you gave me,
this was the last "promise" we made together.
I wonder, in the far, far away world you're in now,
are you still wearing your ring?

My feelings shutter as I remember your laughs,
something that I won't ever hear again if it's not just in my mind.

Nonetheless, there's this little piece of me that still wants this song of mine to reach you,
and so, I'll sing once more.

I always liked you,
it's something I can't forget,
I wish I could have told you earlier,
but I couldn't.

I felt so lost, trying to find the words to tell you how I felt.
These were the words I always wanted to share with you:
"I'll always love you".
