The wind blows in the trees around Sarah. The night was cold and unsettling. There's no where for Sarah to go now. There's no where safe for Sarah to go anymore. Tears once again rolled down her face like raindrops. She destroyed that safe place.

Hours before...

Sarah's eyes flip open suddenly. She wasn't dead or injured. As Sarah's eyes adjusted to the world around her, she stood off the moist gravel she landed on. Blood and broken glass lay scattered around her. She felt a slight sting to her face and put her hand on her left cheek. Pain hit her body like a bullet had just impaled her. Apart from the huge deep cut in her face, and her destroyed knuckles, Sarah appeared to be ok.

Sarah heard multiple foot steps coming from behind. Doctors and nurses came rushing towards her.

i can't stay here

Without thinking Sarah turned around and started to run. Pain once again hit her whole body as she started to run faster and faster. Sarah didn't care. All she could think about was escaping, and Leah.

What have i done to her...

Gruesome images of Leah's injury started to flow into Sarah's mind. Her stomach felt like it was turning. She tried to blocked them out and tried to concentrate on getting as far away from the hospital as possible. But one memory wouldn't leave her mind. She remembered the sight of Leah's right eye as she punched her over and over. Sarah stared down at her hands for a brief moment but then looked away and continued to look straight ahead.

i can't let myself be distracted guilt is a weakness and i refuse to be weakened.

Sarah felt confused as she ran.

How do i remember what happened?

A tear tried to escape from her lost green eyes

i didn't intend to hurt Leah did i?

Sarah held back the tear and started to pick up speed.

i am you and you are me...

I will help you to survive...

To survive me and the world

Sarah stopped and fell against a tree as she tried to catch her breath.

You won't ever fight alone again...

Sarah gave in and let the tear slide down her face. Then it hit the puddle below.

Later, after what felt like hours of running, Sarah arrived in her neighbourhood. She looked around at the houses. They looked so dull in the rain. There weren't any kids playing outside in the gardens or riding bikes down the street. No one was walking their dogs or washing their cars. It was just Sarah. Sarah finally approached her house and turned to look at the place she called home. A gasp escaped her mouth.

Sarah fell to her knees as her eyes became wide. In her front garden, a huge sign was placed into the ground. it read...

FOR SALE

How could they do this...

Sarah looked at the ground

Why would they sell our house why would they want to move away...

Sarah rose to her feet. Inside the front room of her home, the lights were on and two people seemed to be talking. They were her parents. Sarah walked over to the window and peered through, spying on her parents and watching the whole argument. She listened intensively.

Mother: Are you sure about this?

Father: Yes

Well what about all our relatives?

We will inform them where we are living one we are all settled

What about our jobs!

We can find new ones

And Sarah? They still haven't found her yet

Are you just going to leave without her?

Of course not! We will find Sarah and once this whole mess is cleaned up we are going to move to Michigan and live with my sister.

How will Sarah handle this? Moving so far away from her friends. She won't be able to visit Sally's grave anymore? do you think she could cope with that?

I dont know! but all i do know is that moving away is the best for all of us! we all need to have a clean start!

.
.
.

Sarah pulled away and sank against the house. Moving? Michigan?

I can't leave...

A memory of Sally and Sarah playing stuck in the mud with other kids...

Everyone...

A memory of Sarah and sally having a snowball fight...

What will i do without them...

More memories flooded into Sarah's mind...

Who do i have...

Did i even have anyone to begin with?
Don't be stupid of course you did

You had your parents, Sally and Leah.

But your parents have changed and Sally has died...

Do you even know if Leah is alive? She could be dead for all you know...

YOU COULD OF KILLED HER...

Sarah placed her hand over her mouth to hide her sobs. She cried silently as rain blended with her tears. Until a voice stopped her sobs immediately. A voice she missed so much.

Unknown: You aren't alone...

Sarah turns to face a figure standing in the distance. Fresh tears fall from her face and onto the wet ground bellow.

It can't be...

It is...

unknown: You aren't alone big sis...

Sally...

Sally: I'm still here...
