I fly out of bed, still in my dress, and roughly shake Jenna awake.

"Jen! Jenna! Get up, we're gonna be late to class!" I yell, pulling off her covers. She groans and grabs her pillow, pulling it over her head.

"Relax. It's Saturday. What time is it anyway?" she says, her voice thick with sleep.

I check the time and grimace. "It's five forty-five. I, uh, probably should've checked the time before I panicked," I slowly back away from her bed as she pulls the pillow away from her head, a deadly glare gracing her features. I barely know her but it's obvious she's definitely not a morning person.

"Yeah. You should have." Jenna jumps out of her bed as I dive under mine, pulling the blanket with me for protection.

"Jenna, please! Spare me my life! I'm new!" I wail as she grabs my feet and drags me out. She laughs at me in all my pitifulness.

"Fine, but next time you wake me up before seven on a weekend, you're dead." Jenna lets go of my feet and stalks back to her bed, pausing as she hears someone knock on our door. "Who is it?"

"It's me, Marcus. Y'know, the one from-"

"Yes, Marcus, we know who you are. Do you need something?" I ask, rushing to my closet to change out of my dress.

Jenna rolls her eyes.

"Lovesick much?" she mutters. I laugh and open my closet.

I shut the door and reopen it, shocked.

My closet is completely stocked with clothes, some fancy, others casual clothes. I turn to Jenna and gesture at my closet. She shrugs.

"That always happens. It happened to me too when I got here. No idea how they get them in there without knowing, but hey, whatever, I love free clothes."

I enter the closet and shut the door behind me, staring at the new clothes that fill it. After a few moments of searching, I snatch a yellow hoodie and some casual ripped jeans, pulling them on.

"How do I look?" I waltz out of the closet and run smack into Marcus. We stare at each other for a moment, tension forming.

"I could literally cut the sexual tension in this room with a knife. Are you two coming or are you just going to stare at each other."

I scramble away from Marcus, my face heating up, "Yeah, we're coming. Wait. Where are we going anyway?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"Breakfast, Dummy. Duh. Where'd you think we were going? The North Pole?"

I ignore her and we walk in silence all the way to the cafeteria.

As we enter I remember the last time I was in the cafeteria, all of the students staring up at me in awe like I was Superman as I flew over to Marcus.

"Eve. Eve, are you listening to me?" Jenna snaps her fingers in my face.

I cringe, "Uh, no. I wasn't. What were you saying?"

Jenna lets out an exasperated sigh, obviously annoyed.

"I was saying," she glares at me. "That since it's breakfast-"

My roommate is cut off as Michael runs into the cafeteria, shouting and waving his arms around.

"Get out! They're here! The government found us!" He runs around, grabbing kids and dragging them to the door. "Run, run! Get to your rooms! This is not a drill!"

I look at Jenna and Marcus. Jenna stands, frozen in fear.

"Come on Jen! We have to get to our dorm," I grab her arm and she yanks it back, curling into a ball. Tears stream down her face and I can tell she's not even here.
