Story time fam!
Yesterday, I was in my school assembly. Now, I'm an English freak, and the people I'm friends with are also. The head boy of our school said, "Please stand on silence as the official party enters." (It's so dramatic and stupid). I immediately noticed the problem there. I turned quickly to one of my good friends, who was already shaking his head.
The head students are supposed to be the smartest of pretty much everyone. Sure, they're supposed to be nice, and caring, and blah blah blah, but in general, they're supposed to be smart.
And yet, there he stood, saying to stand on silence rather than in silence.
I muttered to my friend, "They really should stop beating up silence. What did it ever do to them?
He's used to my bad jokes, and he's also used to having to laugh at them, so he did.
In the middle of a silent assembly.
He got moved away from me.
I laughed at him then (after we stopped being cruel to silence, of course).
