Readers POV
Today was one of the most boring days of school (A/N that like every day). The only good part about today will be the walk home with my best friend, Desmond Miles.
Bell noise
I ran out of class finally being free for the week but really.
"FREEDOM!!!" I yelled down the hall to outside.
"That's one way to find you." A voice says from behind me.
"Des! How was your day?" I ask.
"Shitty. Yours?" He answered.
"Same." I agree, "So what are we going to do for the rest of the day?"
"Um I guess do some parkour stop by the diner." He suggested.
"Sure sounds fun..." I said then got a smirk on my face, "RACE YOU!" I yelled bolting for the nearest building climbing up it.
"OH COME ON (Y/N) YOU ALWAYS DO THAT!" Desmond yells from behind me.
"BUT YOU NEVER LEARN!" I yell back run from building to building till I see the warm and welcoming sigh of the diner. I jump off the roof a walk across the road to the diner.
"Your. Are. A. Ass." Desmond said out of breath.
"Okay but your paying." I said.
"Hey Desmond, (Y/n)." Amaya greets us.
"Hey Amaya." We both greeted.
"Jixx." I said Desmond glared at me.
"Hehe, your guy's normal?" Amaya asks.
"Yeah." Desmond answered.
After you two are
"Bye Amaya say hi to everyone for us." I said walking out the door.
"So parkour or walk?" Desmond asked.
"Walk." I answer.
"So how's is it at your house?" Desmond asked.
"Do you want a rant?" I asked.
"Sure." He shrugged.
"Well first off my mom is getting worst with her alcohol addition and my dad is a abusive piece of shit to my mom plus mentally abusive to me." I rant on.
"You know what I'm you mom now, and your dad!" He announced, "Your dom wait no. I didn't mean that!"
I smirked and asked innocently, "Daddy?"
"NO DON'T SAY THAT (Y/N)! Bad never call me that again!" Desmond exclaimed.
"I was only joking Des." I said punching his arm lightly.
"Hey (Y/n) since I know you don't like your home, you can stay the night at my house. I'm sure dad won't mind, he honestly likes you." Desmond offers.
"Sure." I said
At Desmond house
"Hey dad can (Y/n) stay the night?" Desmond asked his dad as he came in the house.
"Let me guess she's right behind you and have troubles at her home?" William question as he came down the stairs.
"Yeah." I said behind Desmond.
"Fine, but we're going to drop you off tomorrow to make sure your safe." William said.
"Thanks Will." I said going to Desmond's room.
"Here are some clothes you left over last time." Desmond said handing you some clothes.
"I've been looking for this jacket! You know it's my favorite" I hissed.
"Well sorry I forgot." He apologized but emphasized on the 'sorry' because you know he was just to lazy to bring it to school.
The next day
"We will park across the street so if you need help yell." William explained to me.
"Okay wish me luck." I said.
"(Y/N)! Where were you little bitch?" Dad yelled questioning when I walked in.
"Oh I bet she was being a little slut at her one friends house, what was his name Desmond." Mom slur walking into the room.
"Yeah I was at Desmond because this house is a hell hole!" I yelled at them.
"Why you." My dad came over to me and punched me in the face.
"HELP! DESMOND HELP!" I yell as loud as I could.
"He won't help you, you little bi-" he was cut off by the door slamming open and getting punched in the nose also getting a knee to the gut by Will.
"(Y/n) are you okay?" Desmond asked while our dads beat the shit out of each other in the background.
"Yeah I am. Thank you." I said answering him.
"What are friends for." He said.
