Lance
Strange kid, Lance thought as he swam down. Did I do the right thing... he saw me, but should I have let him die? All of his friends are concussed so they didn't see me. No, I did the right thing, nobody will believe him anyway. Lance met his family and they started swimming upwards. Hey, what gives? Lance signed to his sister, Veronica. She pointed upwards towards the mullet kid waving his arms around like crazy. Then he was why his family was swimming towards him, to help him. There was a shark coming towards him quickly from behind. He was trying to swim away but he wasn't very fast. He swam like he was moments away from falling into the jaws of the shark. Without thinking, Lance abandoned his treasure on a rock and he sped towards the shark. He pulled out a knife he found in the ship and raised it. No, I can't kill it, he realized. Instead he flashed a blinding light into the shark's eyes and punched it in the nose until it swam away. When he turned back around, everyone was up at the surface talking to each other nervously. Lance swam up and the cute emo boy looked at him in amazement.
"That's the second time you've saved my life," he whispered.
Lance looked down, embarrassed. He could feel himself turning red.
"Uh, you're welcome," Lance said awkwardly.
"Can you guys help me out with my friends by any chance?" Keith asked and gestured to the crew.
"Sure!" The merman said with too much enthusiasm and swam off to tell his family to help.
