Only You (Hermione X OC)

Chp.4

~Artemis~
"Wait hold up! You guys got caught! How? And who caught you guys?!" Artemis says as she looks at her with wide eyes.

Hermione shut her book with a loud bang. "Snape caught us and gave us detention with Neville and Draco." She says with annoyance as she sets the book down on the nightstand.

Artemis raise her left eyebrow up in confusion. "Okay, did he say what the detention was going to be?"

"He says that's it's going to be with Hagrid and that we'll be helping him with something in the forbidden forest." Hermione replies as she plopped down onto her left side.

Artemis stares at the back of her head as she thought for a moment. "I'll go with you." She says softly.

Hermione turned around and stared at her with a surprise look.

"You will?"

Artemis nods her head as she stares into her brown eyes. She gave Hermione a small smile. Hermione place her right hand on top of Artemis left hand.

"You don't have to but that's very thoughtful of you." She says with a small smile on her face.

Artemis gave her a small smile. "I really don't mind. Now it's getting late. Let's go to bed." She says before laying down.

Artemis felt Hermione laying down next to her, cuddling up to her back. Soon they both feel into a deep sleep.

It was the next day and they were standing in front of Hagrid's hut. Harry and Ron where confused on why Artemis was with them.

"Artemis did you get detention too?" Ron asks.

"Or did Hermione asked you to come?" Harry asked.

Artemis laughs a little. "No, I'm here on my own free will."

Behind them, they heard a door open then closed with a loud thud. Then they heard heavy footsteps coming towards them. They all turned their heads to see Hagrid walking towards them.

"Artemis! I wasn't informed that you're serving detention with me." Hagrid says in confusion.

"Heh, actually I'm just tagging along to help." She gave him a small smirk.

He gave her a suspicious look before sighing as he just let it go, knowing that she's probably with them for a reason. He look around to see if everyone was accounted for.

"Looks like we're missing two." He then sees two figures approaching them. "Ah there they are! C'mon get over here so we can get started and before you know it, detention will be over!" He yells for them.

They all turned their heads to see Draco and Neville approaching them. When they stopped next to them Harry asked why Neville was here. Artemis just rolled her eyes at his reason before Draco sneered at her.

"Why are you here, Scorpius?"

She crosses her arms over her chest. "No reason." She says simply that made Draco confused.

"Alright everyone listen up!" Hagrid grabbed everyone's attention before telling them what they're going to do.

Hagrid split them into groups. Group one was Hagrid, Hermione, Ron, and Artemis. Group two was Fang, Harry, Draco, and Neville. They split up to find the injured unicorn.

As they walk through the forest, she looked around for anything that stuck out. She notice a trail that was very suspicious to her. She stopped as the rest of the group continued. She kneeled down in front of the trail. With a closer look, it looked like a horse was running away from something. She also saw a second pair of footprints but this one was human footprints. She trailed her right hand across the trail and felt something wet against her fingers. She brought her hand away to look at what she just touched. The substance was silver and smelled of iron.
