Prince delicately held me in his arms, one of his legs draped across mine as he spooned me from behind. Small little tickles ran up my neck as his even breaths fanned against my neck. "Good morning, mon cheri," He groggily whispered, pressing a kiss to my bare shoulder, "You help me sleep, did you know that?"
I wished he eternally sleep, although I don't think I can tell him that. He'd be like Sleeping Beauty, except no-one, even a somnophiliac, would kiss him.
Kairos pulled me closer to his body, his muscular arm wrapped across my torso. "You do help us sleep better. Knowing wherever we go, our good luck charm isn't far behind."
"I think it's the other way round. Wherever I go, you're following me." I grumbled out, trying my best to wiggle out of their hold with no luck. I couldn't escape anything anymore.
Prince pulled the sheets back, propping himself upright as he inspected my chest. Choosing to ignore my comment, he thought aloud, "My Mother would have hated me."
News Flash: Your mum isn't the only person who hates you.
He pressed a finger to my rib cage, hidden pain shooting up all around like a raging fire, burning its way through my body with no mercy. "Shame the only thing she can hate now is herself, but even her incompetent little brain can't figure that out."
He couldn't stop looking down at my chest, neither could Kairos. Although part of me wanted to see what monstrosity laid upon my ribs, the sane part of me knew looking at it would hurt – both physically and mentally – but I still spared it a glance.
It was so horrifyingly beautiful.
It was a tattoo of a man cocooned in silk sheets. His face was a mixture of pain and ecstasy, beauty and torture. Large, delicate wings broke from the mans back, the roots of them angelic but the tips black and fleeting of feathers. But what stood out the most were the two bodies that lay beside the angel, smaller figures that dug their fingers into the skin of the mans ribcage.
Although they were smaller figures, they stood out the most. The way they held hands in front of the man's body, almost holding him in place as the halo's above their heads radiated innocence.
I didn't know how to react. Be utterly impressed with Prince's art work? Or be absolutely livid and slap the silly f*cking sausage out of them both?
"Isn't it wonderful?" Prince sighed out, still in his state of cheerfulness. "It took so long but it was worth it. It was even more worth it when you woke up in your dazed state after we were done."
"You should have seen yourself, you were so much more clingy. Begging for me to hug the pain away," Kairos grinned out, his fingers running up and down my chest. "But I was the good guy and knew you weren't thinking right. I only ever want you when you know you want me."
"Have fun getting to know your right hand for next billion years. I'm sure as hell not helping out." Gosh, I liked this hidden rebellion in me.
Kairos' body shook next to me as his nails left little crescent moon's on my skin. He threw his head back on the pillows as his amused icy blue eyes looked my way. "My right hand will do a better job than you ever will, that's for sure," He pressed a kiss to my forehead head, making my nose scrunch up at his repulsiveness, bleh. "I remember you pointing that knife the one time, you held it like you'd just 'jacked for the first time."
"Maybe we could show him the rights and wrongs, Kai," Prince smiled out, placing a breakfast tray on a nearby cart. He slipped out the sheets, suggestively holding out a silver packet after rummaging through the top drawer of the nightstand. "I heard I'm a good teacher."
Oh, lol. Silver packet. Condoms. Funny story but I cried with embarrassment when we had to practice putting condoms on purple jiggly dildos in Sex Ed. Long story short –just like Kai's and Prince's dicks–, I never learnt how to put one on the downstairs fella.
Kairos subconsciously stroked my hair, laughing at Prince's perverted antics. "We don't have time now, maybe after this evenings requirements."
Kai jumped out of bed, stretching out his muscles. Very, very, very nice muscles, if I say so myself.
Shit, I shouldn't be thinking this. I need to get out of here, now. Romanticising killers isn't at the top of my agenda. God, it shouldn't even be on my agenda. The people who romanticise all the creepy killer/stalker/kidnapping stories deserve to go to hell with Kai and Prince.
I attempted to sit up but the ache in my body arguing against me, dragging me back to bed. If it was any other normal day I would have listened, but this wasn't normal. I tried again, a moan slipping from my lips which caught both men's attention.
Prince stepped forward, sitting on the side of the bed and letting his hands run through my mattered ebony hair. "Jesus Christ, you stink," he grimace. "You should have showered."
Thanks, Prince. Maybe if I didn't have clingy kidnappers that are part-time murders, I would be able to take a shower.
"I would have eaten, too, but the service in this place is absolutely shite. Not to be a Karen or anything, but you def need to fire two workers called Prince and Kairos." I sneered out.
Prince suddenly tugged my hair, pulling my head backwards so my neck was bared to him on a silver platter. With a malicious smile, he leant down to plant butterfly kisses on my collarbone. "Oh, how I do love this defiant side of you," He jutted his tongue out, running it up my neck. "Keep it for me."
Prince let go, shoving my body backwards into the headboard. Before I could even let out a string of curses, he had shut the door behind him with a slam.
Kairos poked his head out from the walk in closet, looking round the room cautiously. Deeming it safe, he stepped further out of the the closest. "You have to stop, my innocent little monster," he mumbled, looking me dead in the eye. "We play dangerous games that little boys shouldn't get involved in."
Somethings been changing in Kairos. He doesn't seem as dangerous as he usually appeared to be. He was calm, like the oceans that crashed back to land in his eyes. He was sober, the ice that was in his eyes has been poured over him and given him frostbite and now all he wanted was warmth.
"Are... are you warning me, Kairos?" I questioned, slowing sitting up to rest on my elbows, "Or threatening me?"
Kairos' blue ocean eyes flickered to the ground, something like regret filling him whole. "I... I don't know. It's just, it's just I can control myself sometimes and I just completely blackout. I don't mean to hurt people, I don't always want to hurt people, but I do. When I'm with you, I hurt you. I don't mean to, but I just lose control." Kai took a beep breath –reminding me to keep breathing, too, and try not to get latched onto his sugarcoated words. "I... I don't want to hurt you, Ace."
I don't know what to say, I don't know who I'm saying it to either. The innocent, good guy Kai or the monster and murderous Kairos? He has an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, both of them sipping tea and they fight a war inside Kairos' head. He's sick and twisted, but I'm not his damn therapist.
"You didn't do a very good job of controlling yourself, Kai," I said, glaring at him through glossy blue eyes. "But what could I have expected from you? For you to be nice? No, not even that. To be sane, that's what I expected from you."
Kairos' eyes looked anywhere other than me. He looked at the floor, traces of blood still on the carpet. He looked at the wall, a hole punched in it probably from me fighting them in my haze yesterday. He looked like a kicked puppy, his eyes wet with tears and his nose runny.
Thankfully, Prince gleefully leapt out of the humid marble bathroom. "A bath is ready for you, mon cheri."
Prince didn't take note of his crying partner, instead, focusing his attention on me as he picked me up like a child and carried me to the bathroom. Over his shoulder, I took one last look at the silently sobbing Kairos before Prince closed the door between us.
