Kairos and Prince. Life and death. I only have to reach forth and I can shout 'bingo'. This will make sense later, or maybe it won't. Nothing makes sense.

In all honesty, it is quite a calm moment. Being pushed from all directions by men and women who wear dresses that make them look like elephants. When I look up, I can see some woman's wig that's slipping off her egghead, and when I look just a little higher, I can see Bradly waving his arms like one of those blow-up noodles outside a convenience store. And for some stupid reason, I can't help but laugh.

With Prince and Kairos chasing after me and Bradly waving his arms in my direction, it's almost like a game of capture the flag. Except it's: Death Version™.

Someone's hand pushes against my shoulders, my stomach slamming into a table making utensils fly everywhere. "Watch where you're going, asshole! I'm expensive here!" Some arrogant ass guy shouted, already 5 miles ahead of me and out of the door. Look how fast idiots can run when they're about to die.

They weren't many people left, some strew over the floor, others trying to scavenge the floor for whatever could be valuable. But I had lost Kai and Prince, and that's what mattered.

I walked over to Bradly, the crackling of the fire louder and harsher when he stood. He cupped his hand around his mouth, pointing behind me.

I cupped my hands around my mouth, shouting back at him, "What ar-"

A hand slammed into the back of my neck, my feet crumbling and sending my body downward with a cry. A weight pressed itself on top of me, flipping me round to face my predator. "This is it, after everything, every-fucking-thing! I wanted you, I thought made you would last longer than the others. Well, fuck that!" He screamed, his hands wrapping around my neck.

Slowly his hands tightened, a small tingle working it's way up to my lips. The lips that were never his. I couldn't bear to look at him; I tilted my head to the side to the shiny metallic object. And while my lips wouldn't move, I watched his lips part as he let out a gasp. His brows furrowing together as looked me in the eyes.

"I will kill you, Ace Williams." Prince let out shallow breaths, his crystal blue eyes becoming cloudy. He was slow to die.

Something overcame me, an urge to just end it. So, I slipped the fork out of his bloody body and shoved it back into his neck. This time it could hear it, I could feel his skin ripping apart beneath the fork.

"I wish you could fucking kill me, Prince," I pushed his jerking body off mine, when he was halfway dead he suddenly seemed to weigh more even though blood was leaving his neck, mouth, and stomach at an alarming rate. "But I killed you first."

I turned around to face Bradly, only to see that Kairos had replaced him. "Where is he?" I shouted, balling my fists as I threw the fork to the ground. "If you give him back, we'll leave and part ways. No-one will know about anything that has happened."

Kairos solemnly smiled, talking short strides in my direction. "Jokes on you," Said the Kairos the Joker. He dressed as a Joker tonight; I guess it's obvious I shouldn't trust a giggling murderer. "He was gone before I could find what you did to Prince. Benjamin and Blake have him."

He was in front of me now, his palm pressed against my cheek and his thumb on my lower lip. "So pure, so deathly." He leaned down lower, his lips hovering over mine. "Who are you?" His lips pressed against mine for the last time, I wouldn't let him do this again.

But he still felt like something, he still created memories of something, of craving. This wasn't like any other time I had kissed him; this was a going away gift to each other. This was the type of kiss he performed on the camera; there were no shining lights or a picturesque background. It was just Princes' dead body and us.

I pulled away breathless, one bittersweet smile on my lips. "I hope you go to hell, and when you're there, say 'Hi' to Prince for me," I whispered, hardly loud enough to hear over the sound of the roaring fire.

I took one more step closer to him, wrapping my arms around his tense body. I looked up at him through dark lashes, with an even darker intent. 'I love-" I pushed him into the fire. "I loved to see you die, finally."

The butterflies in my stomach left instead, they floated over my head like little guardian angels. It was quiet and peaceful, I couldn't hear the fire anymore, I couldn't feel the fire lapping at my legs as I lay on the floor.

"And to answer your question, Kairos, I couldn't possibly know who I am if I was told to be dead. So maybe that's who I am, death."
