It was a lovely sight indeed. It wasn't everyday he would take me to see the sunset.
I watched Michael, who was looking into the sunset.
His eyes.
I don't mean that they're gorgeous! I mean, they are but I don't know. Something seemed different about him almost like something was bothering him.
Why Michael? What are you keeping a secret? Why are you keeping a secret? I told Michael that we were to tell each other everything from day one. I mean I think he's kept to his word.
I couldn't hold back anymore. So I asked him.
"Mikey, you've been acting really strange lately. Whether deliberately or no, I have noticed and I plan to speak on it" He looked at me shocked, stricken.
He looked down and away then opened up saying, "I've been meaning to tell you , I went to the doctor's the other day just to get tested for--"
We both looked up. It was his sister, Kenziee. She was running with his best friend Luna. Luna Clifford her name was. Michael and her had a strange relationship with each other. Not a romantic one but just a odd friendship.
They were really close. I don't know. I do tend to get jealous but its fine. They're just friends. I chose Michael because I trusted him. And he trusts me. Then we heard a loud bang followed by a ear piercing scream.
"MICHAEL!!"
Luna...
Kenziee screamed, "Michael!! Luna was shot!!!!!"
Michael quickly handed me a paper looked me directly in the eyes and then ran to Luna's side. I soon followed.
I paused half way when I spotted Luna bleeding heavily in Michael's arms. Is this how all relationships go? All friendships?
I pulled out the note Michael had given me. I stared intently at it the opened it. My heart stopped. Inside the note read these words:
"I'm sorry Cheyenne, but I'm HIV positive".
