George showed me to my room, and I dumped all of my bags in there before changing into something more comfy. I really couldn't be bothered with unpacking yet, but I also felt like the two lads probably wouldn't want me bugging them in the living room all evening. So I sucked it up, packed my clothes away in the wardrobe and drawers and filled my bathroom with all of my toiletries. I was about to start on unpacking my make-up when there was a knock at my door.

'Jess, we are ordering some food. Do you want anything?' Alex asks poking his head around the door, his voice almost a whisper.

'Oh that would be great, I am starving. I will be in in a moment' I reply, beginning to stand.

I pull on a hoody and wander down the corridor to the living room where both lads were sat engrossed on Alex's phone. I add my order and try to give Alex the money - he of course declines. I made him promise that I could pay for theirs next time and he agreed, but that could just have been to get me to shut up.

We devour our food once it arrives, mindlessly chatting about everything and nothing. Then Alex disappears off to the kitchen and returns with a bottle of vodka and three shot glasses.

'Well it only seems right we welcome you properly' he giggles as he fills the three glasses, handing one to both me and George.

'Cheers' we shout in unison before throwing them back, the spirit burning out throats on its way down. I never could handle shots.

'Fucking shit. God. Eurrgghhhh' I moan, slamming the shot glass down on the coffee table and pulling a face that resembled someone chewing a wasp.

'She has a lot to learn buddy' Alex laughs to George, already filling the glasses for a second time.

Before long, the bottle is empty and three of us are mortal. We gave up on the sofas a long time ago, and all three of us are just sprawled out on the floor. The room is spinning, and I can't close my eyes for fear of throwing up.

'Twenty questions?' George slurred in my direction. 'Seems only right we all get to know each other better' he slurs again, not waiting for an answer.

'You said you were self employed, what is it you do?' he asks first. Okay, at least he isn't going in hard - this I can answer.

'I am an artist, have my own online business' I reply, rolling onto my side to face the two lads.

'Nice! You will have to show us sometime. Maybe when we are sober' George replies as he tries to sit up but fails, falling back onto the floor.

'Do you have a boyfriend?' Alex pipes up. 'Or girlfriend. No discrimination here' he laughs as he throws his hands in the air.

'Nope. Single life for me' I reply. 'But if it was either, it would be a boyfriend for me' I laugh. 'Been there, tried it, not for me.'

'I want to keep this clean so I won't ask' George giggles as he finally makes it into a semi-stable sitting position.

'I think I am too drunk to ask twenty questions, so I will only ask one more' George turns to face me, looking serious. Oh god, what is he going to ask? 'Who's fitter? Me or Alex?' Alex starts laughing from behind him, as I turn a deep shade of puce.

'Really? That is the most important question you can think of?' I laugh as I slowly pull myself to my feet. 'I will go with Alex as he didn't try for a confidence boost. Now, I am going to try and stumble to bed before either of you convince me drink any more and I spew my guts everywhere' I laugh as I kind of wave in their direction, walking across the room to the hallway.
