Smtown concert in Tokyo

Around 11pm on October 4th, Super Junior’s Heechul uploaded a selca together with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and fellow member Kangin on Instagram.

Heechul seemed to have gone out with Taeyeon and Kangin for some delicious ramen noodles in Tokyo, while they were in Japan for their SMTOWN Live World Tour concert. Besides having some ramen, they also have a glass of beer in the middle of the three of them. While adding some simple Japanese words to his caption, Heechul posted, “Ramen!! Ramen!! Ramen!! #Heenim #Kangking #Taenggu #KimKimKim”.

Coincidentally, the three share the same surname Kim, forming the Kim-line of SM, although Kim is considered a typical surname in Korea. Heechul also added creative cute hashtags with the nicknames of each of them. In the selca, Heechul seemed a bit sleep-deprived, but that did not stop him from having some good Japanese food with some great company. On the other hand, Kangin, wearing a snapback, looked all smiley and ready to dig in! The two guys were accompanied with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, who was seated beside Heechul, while still having her stage makeup on. 

In response to Heechul’s photo upload, fans have given different responses, some commenting on how Taeyeon looks like SISTAR’s Hyorin, some asking if Taeyeon’s official boyfriend EXO-K’s Baekhyun had also joined the feast, while some show their support for the friendship among the SM artistes.

While also in Japan for SMTOWN Live World Tour, f(x)’s Victoria also updated fans on her Instagram of herself having a chilling time at a cafe in Tokyo. The SM family will have 2 consecutive days of their concert, on October 4th and 5th.

Despite it being a family concert, several SM artistes were not able to participate in SMTOWN’s Japan stop. Girls’ Generation Sooyoung, Jessica, EXO-M’s Luhan, and f(x)’s Sulli were absent due to various individual reasons. On a more lighthearted note, Japanese fans were able to see SHINee’s Onew back on stage after recovering well from his vocal chord surgery.

Super Junior will resume their promotions for MAMACITA on music shows soon (last reported as early October), while TaeTiSeo is currently also promoting with “Holler”, after having won #1 trophies on Music Bank and M!Countdown this week.
