"Nico! What are you doing here?" Hazel exclaimed as her half brother came into view, he threw Cerberus a bone and casually walked to Hades' refuge in the underworld.
Nico shook some dirt off himself, and pulled in Hazel for a hug. "Hades said he wanted me here," he told her with a shrug.
"Why could that be?" Hazel asked, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. She had been sent to the underworld for a friendly talk with her father, but Nico was there too. What in hell was going on?
Pluto emerged from the darkness, carrying his staff in one hand, the other hand clenching air. He wore an ugly scowl on his face. For once, Persephone wasn't at his side. He was alone even though it was fall. "Hello, children," he said bitterly.
"Hades," Nico nodded.
"Pluto," the God said with a growl.
Hazel gulped, fearing what he had brought them there for. "Why are we here, father?" Hazel asked quietly, shrinking back.
The God grinned. "To prove my honor, of course."

Message for Erin! Message for Erin!
A little envelope floated around the Mercury Cabin. Erin snatched it out of the air, and tore open the envelope, curiously looking inside. There wasn't anyone else in the cabin, strangely enough. Many of the campers slept after hard training days like what they just had. But it was empty.
Erin,
You have a journey ahead of you that threatens your life. I believe you can win and bring glory to the name of Mercury.
You are to participate in what the Gods are calling 'The Demigod Games'. In this competition, you will compete against your fellow half-bloods in a battle to the death. Whoever wins will receive a prize, that I'm not allowed to tell you about yet.
When the time comes, you'll receive a letter similar to this, so please be prepared at any time.
You're allowed to bring a weapon of choice, but you have to retrieve it in the beginning.
More details to come,
Mercury
PS: Apologies for not being able to meet in person, but you know how it is, the messenger God usually doesn't even have time to meet his own children.
Erin dropped the letter at her feet, her body frozen from fear.

A little robot clanged next to Leo as he ate in the mess hell. It was just like any other robot in movies, the ones that tore apart cities, but miniature.
It walked in tiny steps over to him, running into him.
Important Message for Leo Valdez. Important Message for Leo Valdez.
Leo smiled and put it in his pocket for later, not knowing what to expect out of it, but happy he received it in the first place. He only knew one thing, it was from his father.

Maverick lifted his nose from his book. He hadn't realized he had been reading it for hours. He shoved it into his messenger bag along with the rest of his pencils and books and zipped it shut tightly. He rose, nearly stumbling backwards from its weight.
He hadn't realized that the library was closed, and that there was no one else there. No one had told him that it was past nine o clock at night. Maverick simply shrugged and made his way to the front of the building.
It was getting late, which was bad, he was only ten when he found out that his mother was actually the Greek Goddess, Athena. Ever since, he had been dueling monsters and enemies of all sorts. Thankfully, during the school year he was allowed to life with his dad, and deal with a minimal amount of monsters in Wisconsin. It was, for the most part, peaceful. He was only thirteen, but he had defend his life every once in a while. He was well prepared for it as well.
