Clé 2 : Yellow Wood is the second album in the “Clé” series by Stray Kids following Clé 1 : MIROH.

The title “Yellow Wood” is taken from the first line of Robert Frost’s famous poem “The Road Not Taken” which depicts the emotions that are present when faced with a choice that could alter your future path completely. The poem speaks about the road diverging at the yellow wood, a new beginning, where the author is faced with two equally attractive choices, both equally fair. While he ultimately chooses the road less traveled, he notes that “I kept the first for another day!” expressing his wish that he could’ve explored both options.

However, the author expresses the unlikelihood of this saying, “Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back” implying that this choice would change his life in a way that would not allow him to return and explore the other choice. The poem wraps with the author concluding that one day, he’ll look back upon this choice, and though one was not better than the other, “I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

This album follows the “Miroh” album, which means “maze,” indicating that while Stray Kids have entered a maze, they’ve reached a “Yellow Wood” where their choice here will be a instrumental in deciding their future path.

This album also includes the four “Mixtape” tracks digitally for the first time, that were featured on Stray Kids' first four releases since their debut. Originally, the tracks were a “CD Only” track that was not released online.
