Chapter 2

MINATO P.O.V

The Hokage sent us on this mission because he was getting reports from all kinds of shinobis about a girl telling them they'll die on a mission or an unfortunate accident, at first they didn't really care- shinobis die all the time, what is the chance they'll die? But it started to become even more of a concern when it did happen, but even more so when civilians started to come through with reports.

Saying that a little girl maybe the age of 12-14 a brown-skinned girl with freckles littered across her face and sharp green eyes, as well as long curly hair- is saying that if they go to this shop at this time, or stay at home at this time they'll die from murder or fires or something of that sort, so when they listen just to satisfy her- she was always so desperate- they came back to be told they were robbed or that a shop was burned down unfortunately, but what really struck a cord was that the girl was right.

So came the questions how did she know? Did she do it? Was she somebody that has vital info about what is about to go down?

Questions swarmed the minds of the people that knew, so we were sent to investigate-except I was the only one that knew the actual purpose of this mission.

"Sensei! Why do we have to go to the school to talk to some rotten-nosed brats about the shinobi way?" Obito whined

"Because we were hired by the principal to visit."

"Buuut, we could be on actual missions and not this baby crap!"

"Obito, just shut up, the faster we do this, the faster I can leave your sorry ass"

"WHY YOU-"

"Hey! Hey! Stop fighting, and focus on the mission!"

I sweat-dropped at their behavior.

" Class, we have a very important guests today, please welcome Minato, Rin, Obito, and Kakashi!" The teacher announced as we walked in, I had my usual cheery smile as I scanned the class room, and then I noticed that one of a student- a brown-skinned girl with freckles across her face and very sharp green eyes was hyperventilating, I was about to say something when something very unexpected happened.

D-did she just hide her chakra? And how did she do it so well? She hid it so well I thought she wasn't there for a second, even though I was looking at her. I looked at my team.....seems I'm not the only one.

Obito started "hey! How did you do tha-" and then she jumped out the window.

SHE JUMPED OUT THE WINDOW!!!

JAY P.O.V

They were starring at me- oh god they we're starring at me.

You ever just have the biggest brain-fart in your life that the first suggestion seems the best? 

Well I just had.

"Jump out the window"

I sometimes just hate Sakumo.

I jumped out the window without a second thought- y'know that this is a 10-story building? Did you know we were on the top? Did I just jump off a 10-story building? Yes. Yes I did. Do I regret it immensely? Very much so.

You know what? It takes a while to fall here, and I was thinking of just letting it happen, I mean if I die I don't have to deal with this no more. But apparently Sakumo doesn't think the same.

He grabbed me and carried me across the roofs-did I mention that ghost can touch me?
Well you know now.

Sakumo was running-flying? High speeds and even so the one named minato was gaining on us- how is he so fast?

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT SAKUMO!!"

And he had the audacity to laugh!!?

MINATO P.O.V

When it processed that this child jumped out a 10-story building I was out and about running to her to try and catch her, but right before she fell she was... caught?

I don't know how to explain it, but someone-or rather something is carrying her princess-style, and as she-was it even her? Jumping on rooftops at a speed even I was have little difficulty catching up to, but I was nonetheless.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT SAKUMO!"

When I heard that I faltered a little, Sakumo as in Sakumo Hatake?

I looked to my right-Kakashi was there- and he went ridged, and went faster.

Before long we caught up to her and before I can talk to her Kakashi decided to take action.

"Why do you know the name of my father?!" His eyes were sharp and cold- but overall sad.

JAY P.O.V

"Why do you know the name of my father?!" Kakashi all but shrieked.

"I thought you said he was soft boy" I whispered to Sakumo and he seemed confused.

"I mean- i did die during his early childhood and he doesn't have a mom or any other relatives..." I deadpanned at him

"That's brutal, my guy"

"STOP IGNORING ME!"

"Damn, did someone piss in your cereal this morning?"

His face turned bright red, but you can only really tell from his ears.

"I know of your 'father' because he is my-you could say sensei" I shrugged

And a split second I saw it-he was going to choke me, but before he could I grabbed his arm and twisted it across his back.

"Maa, maa Kakashi- what would papa say?"
And I could see the literal anger and hatred in his eyes when he looked at me- but boohoo I've looked death in the eyes a number of times, he just looks like a sad puppy right now.

"I know you hate, stuck up kids like him but let him go. Please?" Sakumo asked

I sighed "fine"

I let go of him, he was gonna try to go at me again before Minato stopped him.

"Sakumo died around the time you were like 5, so how do you know him-because there's no way you know him because he's you Sensei- that means you were quite possibly a prodigy and you caught his attention- and I doubt considering that you are no more than a civilian"

"Well.. you're right.. I guess, but he really is my Sensei, and no we didn't meet when i was 5 we actually met after he died"

"...what?"

"I can see ghosts, to put it simply"

"....what?"
