"What?" I said surprised.
"The government is closing down by cities now," Mom said in a worried tone.
Kelan came over and started tugging at my shirt. "Come over here Jamin," He said.
"I will in a sec Kelan," I said.
I sat down my my mom and she showed me the email they sent out. I went to my room with Kelan following me and started to pack my things.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm packing my stuff," I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because we're moving."
"Oh," He said trying to climb up to sit on my bed.
I continued to pack my stuff and then my mom came in.
"Jasmine-" She said.
"Yes?" I said thinking it was something about the government.
"Soso is trying to FaceTime you," She handing me my phone.
"Oh thanks," I said taking my phone.
I sat on my bed next to Kelan and answered Soso's call.
"Hi!" She said.
"HIIIII!!!" Kelan screamed.
"Haha hi Kelan!" Soso said.
"Hey Soso what's up?" I said.
Solange (Soso) is my cousin from California. She has two sisters; Sascha, and Alycia, who has two daugters; Ameila and Maliah.
"We're moving to Michigan!" She said excitedly.
"Really! Everyone?" I asked.
"Yep!" She said.
"Yay! I can't wait to see you,"
"I can't wait to see you either!"
Out of the corner of my eye I see Kelan trying to get a book from the top of my bookshelf. Then I realized the book next to it is about to fall off.
"Kelan! Move!" I screamed.
