Oh to be free as the wind.
Oh to run once again.
Oh to fly high in the sky.
Oh to remember when.
When the world was new and pure.
When the seas were clean and bright.
When the rain poured down like stars.
And the moon was a bright nightlight.
Remember when we played all day?
Remember when at peace we'd stay
Waiting out an evening storm;
Silently watching for the morn?
That life is gone,
Like sand from a glass.
Days slide on by,
And those memories pass.
But still I may sit,
Every now and then,
I'll sit by myself
And Remember When.
Memories each day,
I used to live them.
But now I may only,
Remember When.
