Skyler layed unmoving in her bed as the silence was beating down on her. The memory of her parents holding her in their warm embraces was only a distant memory, but still so meaningful to her. She felt warm tears burn at the back of her eyes and she wished for all the hurt to just go away.

After all...

Her parents death has occurred when she was just 11 years old.

It was really early in the morning and a sun stream lit up her gloomy face which made it harder for her to hold back the tears that wanted to spill over her bottom eyelids.

Skyler stirred in her bed and she closed her eyes, trying to rid of all the tears before slowly opening and forced herself not to cry. She groaned in irritation from not wanting to get up, but decided it would be best if she did because she had much to do for the day.

She looked around her new room that once belonged to her beloved aunt that had passed away just a few weeks prier. She took a slow and heavy breath before breathing it out and trying not to ponder on the thought of family members that was no longer with us.

She looked into the mirror and grimaced at the sight. She had dark bags that hung low under her beautiful blue eyes and her long dark brown hair was ruffled all around her head looking rather unpleasant and unkept. Her figure was strongly built for a girl of 17, muscular and very healthy. That's the only thing Skyler has ever been proud of accomplishing throughout her life so far. Being active.

Skyler quickly then brushed her teeth and combed trgough her ruffled up hair before adding a decent amount of make up that didn't cake her face too much. When she was finished in the bathroom, she then returned to her messy room and went straight to her closet, ignoring the piles of disgusting dishes and dirty clothes on the floor.

She pulled on a tightly fitted skinny jean and a white tank top, not really caring if her purple lacy bra was silghtly peeking out from her top. Skyler then pulled on her white warn out Converse to complete the look and was satisfied with the outcome of it.

Her top also revealed half of her tattoo that covered the intire right side of her body. It was an old oak tree that didn't have any leaves on its eerie outstretched branches that was spread out on her stomach and back. It's stomp of the tree started on her mid thigh and swirls up to her mid stomach wich caused spreads some of the branches to trail up her neck as well. There is also three tiny birds flying out on the back of her neck to complete the intire tattoo.

Skyket then grabbed her black leather jacket before exitimg her room and walked towards the stairs. Chase was waiting for her at the end of the staircase, pacing back and forth while looking deep in thought.

His hair was a brown mess unto of his head and his big brown eyes was filled with slight irritation. He had a plain blue T-shirt on that hung on his figure and some badge shorts that fitted him nicely. He had some black sneakers on that sqeeked against the wooden floor boards while he was pacing. Chase then looked up when he saw Skyler at the corner of his eye ontop of the staircase.

"Skyler! finally you're awake I was worried you died in there or something." Chase said rather sarcasticly and Skyler furrowed her eyebrows.

"Chase it's 5:15 you don't need to worry about my 'lazyness'... I know you're a bit nervous for this whole going to a new school thing, so I'm not in the mood for your sarcastic opinions." Skyler stated as she crossed her arms over her chest
