I watched as Chase squirm in his seat trying to break free from the ropes that bound him to the chair. He constantly made horrible noises of agony as the venom slowly spread through his blood sells. I felt warm tears running down my cheeks and my body went into a fit of rage. Niall sat in his chair terrified at the sight of Chase lashing out in his direction. I couldn't really blame him for being scared. Ted stood in the corner with a huge grin spread out on his face. He was pleased with my reaction towards all of this madness.
The hands of the infected next to me still held me back from trying to help my brother and I couldn't take it anymore. Adrenaline rushed through me and I grabbed the two arms that was keeping me bound and ripped them clean off to free me. I took my sword and slashed through both of their heads before running towards Chase.
Before I could reach him I was taken down by Ted. I fell hard on the ground and Ted climbed ontop of me pinning my arms with his hands. I struggled against his grip and more tears rolled off of my face. I then headbutted Ted and he groaned in pain and let go of me. I pushed him aside and got up to my feet.
Ted then stood up and grabbed me by my arm and threw me across the room. I hit the wall hard and heard bones crack making me yelp out in pain. I slumped to the ground and saw Ted walking over towards me and got up to my feet again. I hissed in pain as I noticed my anckle was injured and braced myself for the pain to come.
He was infront of me and I punched him in his face. He was taken aback, but quickly recovered and came for me again. I then grabbed my sword from its holster and swung it in the direction of his head, but he dogged. I groaned in irritation and swung again and nicked the top of his cheek and a small stream of blood ran down his cheek.
The wound healed quickly and anger blazed in his eyes making me swing the sword again. He dodged and gripped my hands squeezing hard to get me to let go of the sword. I yelled as I felt the bones in my hand splinter and the sword fell to the ground. I then kneed him between the legs making him cower down in pain and then kicked him on the left side of his head with me bad anckle and he staggered to the left.
I hissed in pain and tried to get away from him, but he was way faster then me, obviously. Ted then took the opportunity and grabbed my neck pushing me up against the wall. I gurgled for air as his grip tightened around my neck and my hands tried to pry his hand off.
"Skyler Jones... I honestly thought you were the best hunter. Now given the opportunity to fight you I'm just disappointed." Ted said and I tried to get air into my lungs.
"Go to hell." I managed to spit out and Ted just smirked up at me.
"Oh I will one day. Today is just not the day that I'm going downstairs. Not yet. Maybe in a few decades the council's best recruit will find me and demolish me, but today is just not that day." Ted said and I shot him a glare.
My oxygen was running low and I could see my vision start to get blurry. Black spots started to appear and before I could finally say I'm dying I looked behind Ted at Chase and Niall. Chase was still bound to the chair and raging in pain while Niall is screaming something out to me. I closed my eyes and tears slipped down my cheeks.
I've failed them.
Just before I thought it's all coming to an end I felt Ted dropped me. I fell to the floor and gasped for air. My vision was still blury and as I looked up I saw a figure pull Ted away and start punching him and throwing him. The mysterious figure suddenly appeared by my side and I looked up weary.
"Don't worry love... Everything's going to be fine." a gentle voice said.
I smiled as I recognised who it was before blacking out intirely.
