I bounced my knee unpatiently as I waited for Niall to arrive at this little café down the street. I was dressed into a casual attire that fitted my body perfectly and very comfortably.

I sighed and looked at my watch. It's been nearly an hour that I've waited for him and still he was a no show. My thoughts ran wild about ideas and excuses of why he is running this late.

He could always be busy with the fraternity. That's understandable since pledges always have it bad. Or maybe he got hurt on the way here. My stoumache started to twist as I thought about Niall getting hurt.

I bit my nails out of bad habit to try and calm me down, but little it succeeded. I took in a deep breath and decided I'd do the one thing I should've done a while ago and decided to try and call him.

I slid my phone out of the front pocket of my jeans and unlocked it. I went into my contacts and dialed Niall's number. It started to ring indicating that his phone is indeed still working so he couldn't be injured I think...

A few rings buzzed through the phone as I waited for Niall to answer my call. It went to voice mail and I started to worry. I dialed the number again and waited for him to answer again. To my relief he did.

"Sorry I'm running a little late. The captain of the frat, wants Harry and I to clean out the basement tonight. Luckily Harry offered to do it himself since I helped him a few back in high school so I'll leave in a few minutes. Mind waiting a few?" he explained and I let out a small laugh.

"Yes, that's fine" I replied.

"I'm sorry if I made you stress out, I meant to call" Niall said and I smiled.

"It's okay... I thought it might be becuase of the fraternity so it's completely understandable. See you in a few Ni" I said and Niall chuckled.

"See you in a few Skyler."he said and ended the call.

I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. At least he's okay. I relaxed my muscles and my leg stopped bouncing.

I waited for a few minuets and saw Niall entering the café and spotted me from across the room. He gave me a sweet smile wich I returned. I stood up from my seat as he walked over to me and gave me a hug.

We sat after a few moments from hugging and Niall let out a loud sigh as we sat down in our seats. I could tell he was very exhausted by his appearance. There were black shadows under his eyes and his face was bone white and drained from colour.

Niall took a deep breath and looked towards the café wall that was across from us. He didn't sound exhausted when I talked to him just a few minutes ago. I guess he just agreed to meet up with me out of manners. Not that I really deserved it through.

"Niall?" I asked in concerned and his blue lingering gaze shifted towards me "are you alright? It doesn't look like you've slept in days" I said and he shrugged.

"I'm always busy Skyler, the frat is litterly driving me insane" he said and I felt simpathy towards him.

The one thing I couldn't understand is though. Harry was in the same fraternity as Niall and he didn't seem exhausted at all earlier today. Where they just hammering on Niall beacuase he was Irish and not British? It could be that or something else intirely that makes my stoumache knot in an unbearable sensation.

"I think that's hardly fair that they treat you this way" I said and placed my hand gentle on his shoulder in a caring gesture. Niall flinched a bit when I touched him, but relaxed in my hold.

"It's a fraternity Sky, and I'm a pledge... Their suppose to make my life a living hell" he said and I huffed.

"I know that Niall, but it seems like you're doing all the work and you don't get credit for it. Harry doesn't look nearly as exhuasted as you are. Hell he looks more energetic then usual these past few days" I said and something flickered in Niall's eyes when I mentioned Harry's name and he looked hurt.
