Those nine days were quicker over than I wanted to and literally within a blink I found myself at home again, going to school, doing homework and studying for tests and exams. Still, time kept flying by our heads and I had more than half of the exams already done. It was a good feeling even though I was a little bit disappointed with myself because I didn't fulfill everything how I wanted to.
It was one of those Thursdays when I had school for the longest time. I hated it staying for so long in this building with only short fifty minutes that was my lunch break but there was nothing I could do about it.
Fortunately, guitar class was doing really well. After I actually started practising at home and not only in the class, I improved pretty much and the teacher was happy about it too. We said goodbye to each other when the bell rang and I quickly packed my things together because I didn't have much time until my bus comes and I couldn't miss it – the next one goes an hour later. This was among the less disadvantages living in the countryside the biggest one.
My friends knew that I have to hurry so I said a loud goodbye to everyone and went forwards whilst I looked after my earphones in my bag with one hand and looked at my phone in my other hand. It started to ring and soon the name Ni popped up, unfortunately without a picture because any time anyone could notice it and that wouldn't be so funny.
"Hey Ni," I greeted him quietly because I could hear my friends chatting behind me.
"What's up, beautiful?" I couldn't hold back my smile as I heard his voice for the first time today. Meanwhile I was still looking after my earphones in my bag, slightly panicking that I might lost them.
"Just got out of school. Little bit tired and hungry, what about you?"
"Mmm I'm hungry too. I'm about to go grab something, actually. Hopefully, I'll have a pretty date so I don't have to eat alone."
I knew that he was only joking but for a moment I stopped walking because it was still a little shock hearing him saying something like that. Even though I knew he didn't mean it, the fear that he'll leave me was still there. Because why on Earth would he stay with me? What does he see in me? What can I give him that no one can't?
I wasn't proud of these thoughts but they were present and I couldn't always hold them back.
"Oh... forgot to tell you something," his voice brought me back to real life and as I looked at my watch, I knew I should start running in order to catch my bus. "I've a surprise for you, pretty girl. Look up."
I immediately did what he said and even though I knew what or more so whom I'm going to see, somehow I couldn't believe my eyes.
"What-" I felt my eyes widen as I started walking again in his direction. "What are you doing here?"
"So, will you be my date tonight?" he asked with the handsomest smile on his lips and as I scanned his face that I got to see closer and closer after every step I made, I felt my eyes water up.
