*Few changes if you already read the book ,but if you haven't then enjoy. *Chapter 7
"Ooh please Jason, I didn't come this far to do something boring, I'm Almost hundred percent sure that most of the class will be doing that for their assignments ". I roll my eyes as I talk to Jason.
"Okay so what do you suggest we do,we don't really have a lot of time to hand in this assignment. ..I'm just trying to save time".
You've got to be kidding me, I don't want to have some duplicate project, obviously everyone will probably be doing posters for this assignments -and now this boy is tricking me into doing a dumb assignment.
Well he's in for a treat because I'm definitely not letting us fail, well at least not me.Currently I'm sitting in Jason's room on his king size bed, his room is on the second floor of this huge house- I still can't believe he lives with cousins, that's super weird.
Although this is a beautiful house, I'm glad no one is here...apparently they go for a jog and some good exercise as a family, well at least their healthy and they love each others company. He sits up straight from his bed and looks at me" I like shortcuts...but you know what, I'll let you be in charge of this project" he says with a smirk "but just so we're clear, if we get really crapy marks, I'm blaming you" he says with an accusing tone.
I squint my eyes to intimidate him, then say "ohh it's on".
I put my hand on my chin and put on my thinking face.
"Okay since this is about exothermic and exothermic reactions there must be some books in Mrs Greyhems class or the library...I'll make sure to get a book that looks interesting enough...I doubt there's any-this is science, and for extra marks we can interview people."I tell him."I'll look in my dad's basement and see if there's anything good there. "He adds on.
"Okay cool."I say with a smile.
I then stand up as I notice he has a bookshelf-its not huge but it's not tiny either.
I scan through the books and notice some of my favorite writers."What's your favorite bo-" I am cut off as the door opens brutally, I stiffen and look at the door and realise that there's a boy who looks like Jason but has orange hair and freckles surrounding his nose area.
"There's a problem with Alph-" before he finishes his sentence he notices me in the room.
Jason shoots him a glare as if signaling for him to shut up.
He the looks at the boy standing by the door and as if reading each others minds.
"Got it" Jason says as he stands up and grabs his keys from the counter in a rush and heads for the door.
"Madison, I'm really sorry, something just came up and I need to go somewhere".I look at him with a questioning look " don't worry I'll drop you off, but we need to go now!"
I relax and follow him to his car quietly.
We both enter quietly and he starts driving- but way faster this time."Jason is everything okay?" The question slips out of my mouth and soon realise I can't take it back and just mind my own business...I should have just kept quiet and said nothing and now I have to go through an awkward car ri-
"Everything is fine" Jason cuts me from babbling on in my mind.
He doesn't make any movement or make any expression "my cousin probably did something and got in trouble" .
