Chapter 15

I got to my mamas house to pick up the girls. I already felt that Chris called her and told her I was not there. Now I got to get this long ass lecture to what I was doing. I got out the car and walked to the door. I put my key in and unlocked the door. I called for my mama and she yelled "in here Amber." I walked to the kitchen and sat at the table. She was washing dishes so I knew she had just fed the kids. "Where are the kids mama?" "They down for their nap" mama said.

"So let's get right to it. Where in the hell have you been? Chris called me worried sick. He said you didn't wake him or nothing. He even said he could've watched them kids. Now don't play with me nor lie to me. You ain't too old to get hit." Mama said as she continued washing dishes. "Ok fine mama I had a meeting with Larry today. He is planning some things for me." I admitted. "And what kind of things is he planning. I know what he does and it's not good. I know damn well you ain't still after this August character?" Mama asked.

"Mama don't start please. I told y'all I was done with that." I said telling half the truth. "Amber if you get your ass out there and get in something you can't get out of, I'm gonna kill you myself you hear me?" Mama said angry. "Mama don't start please. I'm not gonna get myself in nothing. I just met with him for protection." I lied. "And why would you even need it if you let your husband handle that situation? Amber I'm not dumb nor do I believe what you are saying." Mama said looking at me now.

"Now tell me what's going on or I'm gonna jump you in this damn kitchen." Mama said. "Fine mama. I went to meet Larry cause I was gonna take care of August. His woman met me yesterday and said she was tired of him hitting on her and she told me his plans for me and Leslie. I am not about to let him take my sisters baby or cause more pain to me and Chris." I said getting little loud. "First of all bring your tone down in my house young lady.

Second of all that's not your place to do. That man loves you and won't let nobody hurt you. You stepping out in the wrong territory trying to handle this. This is a man thing and you are about to get yourself in some trouble."
Mama said fussing. "Mama I didn't come here to get lectured about my life. I want him gone and until he's gone I will do all I can to get rid of him." I said boldly to my mom. "Well I'm gonna tell you this. If I hear you still plundering in this, I will report you to the cops. And I will tell Chris." Mama said crossing her arms across her chest.

"You wouldn't do that to me Mama." I said a little worried. "Try me if you think I'm playing." Lena said throwing the towel down and walking out the kitchen. Amber got up and followed her out the kitchen. "Mama this is not fair and you know it. He took my daddy from me, hurt me, and raped and impregnated my sister. That's all the reason why he should be dealt with." Amber yelled as she continued to follow her mom.

"Girl you ain't the only one hurting. That was my husband and my daughters. If anybody should be more pissed it should be me. Now I have listened to your bickering and mouth long enough. Now what you can do is go home. I'll keep the girls tonight. Leslie bringing me RJ. I suggest you go and tell your husband what you have been doing. Cause if you don't, I most definitely will." Lena said walking to the door. "So you about to throw me out the house and tell on me mama?" Amber asked. "No I'm protecting your stupid ass now go home now." Lena said pointing to the car with the door open.

"Wow mama. I never thought in a million years you would do me like this." I said walking out the door. "Well now you know." Mama said. As soon as I got on the pour before good mama slammed the door. I know her she is upset and disappointed in me. I don't care at this point though. I want my revenge and I'm gonna get it. I got in my truck and put the key in the ignition. I crunk up and drove off. As I was driving home my cell rings.

I hit the button so it could go through my truck. "Hello." Amber said. "Hey sis what you up to?" Leslie asked. "Just leaving mama house after she cussed me out and threatened to tell Chris and the police on me." I explained. "Wait what and why?" Leslie asked out of concerned. "Because Chris called asking have she seen me and told her he felt I was out trying to get revenge on August." I said. "Wow And She said she would tell on you?" Leslie asked. "Yes she said she would tell. But I don't care if she does. He will not hurt my family again and I meant that Leslie."

"I get that loud and clear. I got your back on whatever you choose. If you go through with it, I'm with you and if you don't I'm with you too. I want him gone too especially after you said his girl said he's trying to take my son." Leslie said. "Right and that's what I tried to tell mama. She all in this with Chris but don't know what we know." "Well did you meet with Larry?" "Yes that's where I was. The plan is in movement now." I said.

"I'll let you know when we make our move. Are you sure you down for this Les? Amber asked her sister. "Yeah and nothing is gonna stop me. He won't take my son and I mean that." Leslie said stern. "Well it's on. I love you Les." Amber said. "I love you too sis."
