Alpha Denford.

After the rogue attack, a pack meeting is held.

I can't wash off how pissed off I am.

No matter how Casey talks me out of it, still... I feel like I wanna do another bloody battle.

The rogue attack took place in the second cluster, Andronna.
It's where the mated wolves with young cubs reside.

"Zion! Reports of the total number of the pack members who were killed?" I hissed.

"Around thirty five wolves. Twenty five males and ten females."

I shut my eyes in anger.
"I've given direct orders to take all the women and cub into the safety. How did this happened?!"

He let out a sigh.
"Alpha, these females are the parents of the cubs that were taken."

My eyes narrowed into slits.
"Taken?!"

"There are about eighteen cubs who went missing, Alpha."

I pulled my hair tight as frustration starts to eat me.
Casey stood and put a hand on my shoulder.

There was a brief relief upon her touch but the guilt I felt was really getting into my nerves.

"Carry on with the discussion, we need to see someone. Yuda and Casey will come with me."

We left the room immediately.

On our way out, I turned to Yuda who was silent the whole time.
"I don't blame you for this, Yuda. This is beyond your control. You worked hard enough to seal the barrier."

A tear escaped my eyes
"The barrier was supposed to hold longer till I arrive. But the source of the dark magic was too strong. I'm no evil, Denford. I don't stand a chance. Satan's curse lingers on their veins, thus making them stronger compared to us white witches."

Casey held Yuda's hand.
"It wasn't your fault, Yuda. If it weren't for you, we would have faced a greater damage."

"So the attacker was a dark witch." I concluded.

She nodded while wiping her tears.
"Yes, Alpha. That witch sealed an alliance with the demons and that is why they kidnapped the cubs. I think it will serve as its offering or sacrifice. For the witch to possess the greater dark power possible, one must sacrifice a hundred young cubs and a life of a family or someone their family loves."

Luna Casey gasps. "Someone's that sick to sacrifice that much?!"

"Yes, I'm afraid so. Though something's bothering me too."

I snapped my head towards her immediately, making me stop in my tracks.
"What is it?!"

"Aside from that, I could feel the barrier breaking."

I was about to ask what she meant when I caught a scent in the air.

When I rushed towards Amore's cell, I unlocked it quickly.

There goes Ciara and Amore, both are asleep and is locked in each other's tight embrace.

"Now, what the hell!" I growled.
