Ciara.

I gasped as I caught the Alpha's scent, together with his wife and Yuda.

I gulped. What could it be this time?

First, the shadow, then the danger it brings, the bracelet--

They're here.

I hope this isn't bad news!

I opened the door for them with a nervous smile.
"Goodafternoon  Alpha, Luna and Yuda."

I bowed in respect as they greeted me in return.

"Please come in." But in reality, i just want to run upstairs and hide, seek comfort on my mate's embrace.

They entered my house and occupy the seats in the living room.

"Please wait for a little as I am going to get something to eat." I said.

The Alpha shook his head. "It won't be necessary, Ciara."

I bit my lower lip as I nodded.

"Please take a seat." The Luna said.

I did as I'm told.

"Ciara..." Luna Casey reaches for my hand.

"Y-Yes Luna?"

"How are you lately?"

I shrugged. "Good. Thank you for asking..."

She nooded. "How about Miguel? Are you two doing great together?"

I wanted to ask her why she asked me such questions but I decided to keep it to myself, "We're doing just great, Luna."

Ahe nodded once again.
"Have you ever wondered why you were not blessed with a child?"

I could feel my breath hitch as she asked me that very statement. I do wonder the same thing everyday.

I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"I have fate to Goddess Luna. I firmly believe that we will be blessed with a child of our own in her perfect time."

She nodded.

I looked to Alpha and Yuda who looked away as I answered the Luna's question but I did not dare ask why.

I have no right to question my superiors.

"How much do you love Miguel?" The Luna continues to ask.

The question caught me offguard.
I discreetly look at Yuda's way who is now looking at me intently.

"I love my mate so much." I answered, staring back at Luna Casey's eyes.

"Really?" Yuda arched a brow at me, making me look at the opposite direction.

"I love Miguel and excuse me but that is not up for a debate, Yuda."
I returned my gaze at her.

"Yuda..." Luna Casey warned.

She shook her head.
"Just let me, Luna. I know what I'm doing."

Alpha Denford nodded at Luna Casey.

It took everything in me to conceal how disappointed I am.

"Fine." Luna whispered.

Yuda fixed her gaze on mine once again.
