Blue Violets (Elwurd x Reader)

You shoved the window and stuck your head out. Elwurd's weekly party ended up being a real banger this week and as such it was getting a little overwhelming. You hadn't actually seen her yet, but you assumed that she wound up somewhere with a pretty lady and was charming the pants off of her. Someone nudged you after a few minutes and you decided to pull yourself back into the party. Meandering through the throng of trolls of varying shit faced-ness you found yourself to kitchen and into the back Elwurd. 

"Sorry!" You shouted, having accidentally smashed your nose into the back of her. 

"oh hey aLien" Elwurd turned his head back towards you before stealing a sideways glance at the indigo blood that she was talking to.  

"Hiey"  the other girl said quietly. 

"Hey" you gave her a little two finger salute and were going to continue to pushing past them whenever  Elwurd grabs your arm and gently pulls you back. You decided to keep in place since something about her face made you feel like you needed to stay. Nodding along you tried to keep casual conversation going but something about this other troll made you very uncomfortable. You guessed she also made Elwurd a little uncomfortable since she wanted you to stay by her side until the other girl, who's name you learned was Diphae, decided to go for some food with one of her other friends that was apparently here. 

"thanks for that" Elwurd says to you after the two trolls were out of ear shot. Which wasn't really that far over the thumping music. 

"No problem, standing around and nodding along is what I do best" You and Elwurd shared a short laugh before you excused yourself to the bathroom. Man are you lucky that trolls happened to be an alien species that needs toilets. 

You said goodbye to the last few party goers, one of which you had to nudge into the hallway with your foot at they mumbled unintelligibly with olive colored vomit on their face. You turned back to Elwurd's apartment. Man this place is trashed. The two of you worked together getting most of the grime off of the floor, walls, and furniture,  as well as picking up larger pieces of trash. After a sunrise you really wish you didn't have to see, Elwurd's apartment was probably the cleanest it had been in a long time. Eventually you flopped down on her newly cleaned couch and went straight to sleep. 

Dreams flooded your mind. Short snippets of far off ideas that lacked clarity until one came to the forefront of your subconscious and stayed there.  It started off like a memory playing of Diphae talking to you and Elwurd, but very quickly  began turned into something else. First the background fell away but the sound of the music stayed.  You shrank and the two of them got very, very tall. The rest of it was like something of a movie, a dark movie that's just tame enough to show kids but leaves a lurking darkness whenever you try to go to sleep later. As you woke up you stared at the carpet for a while, trying to remember details but you couldn't. You got up and started pulling all of your stuff together before Elwurd woke up and stopped you at the door. 

" oh hey," she pulled her jacket closer around her, "you're still here aLien." 

"Yeah I was just about to leave." You shifted back and forth for a little bit waiting for Elwurd to say something. 

"uh thanks again for Last night," she smiled at you and gave you a little punch in the arm. 

"ha yeah," you lightly punched her back," what was with that girl last night anyway?" 

You forced out a laugh, trying to shake off the feeling of unease from your dream. When you caught Elwurd's eyes again though, you knew that she had similar feelings about it. 

"uh Elwurd?" You asked. 

"yeah?" 

"Who was that girl last night?" You shut the door behind you, now convinced that you needed to draw the truth out of her.
