It's a beautiful Monday morning at the Marquis Events Place where The Keepsake Corner (the name of my event planning business) are organizing a 7th birthday party for Mrs. Anne's adorable daughter, Chelsea. Mrs. Anne wanted to have an amusement park themed party with lots of food carts and game booths for her daughter. I entered the door to the ballroom of the said event and spotted my partner, Jess who just finished talking with the rest of the team.

"Jess, please give me an update about everything."

"Aly, everything's done! The unicorns and lanterns are placed dangling on the ceiling. The popcorn, fries, ice cream and cotton candy food carts are all prepared with their delicious snacks. I already assigned some people to welcome the guests which arrived pretty early. The host, the magician and the dancers are at backstage with Alex. Here's the checklist for the event today."

"Thanks, Jess. Are the game booths all set up? Are the prizes complete? How about the souvenirs?" I asked as I scan and checked my way through the checklist.

"Yes, the game booths are all set. The prizes are ready for every game booth and uh, souvenirs? I thought the prizes were already the souvenirs?"

I looked at Jess with my now much bigger bug eyes and stopped myself from a wave of incoming stress. "Oh my freaking gosh. SO ARE YOU SAYING WE DON'T HAVE SOUVENIRS?! Didn't we talk about this during the meeting with Mrs. Anne?"

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry Aly I think that the one with the prizes which are also the souvenirs are for next week's birthday party I totally messed up I'm so sorry!"

Just when I was about the blow up with stress, Mrs. Anne suddenly popped out of nowhere and asked: "Is everything alright? The event is about to start in 3o minutes you guys should go near the stage for the program."

"Yes, Mrs. Anne. You don't have to worry everything is perfectly okay! We'll be there in a minute!" I responded enthusiastically while crying inside.

"Perfect! Thank you, Aly." And Mrs. Anne was gone talking to the guests.

"Okay, listen Jess, I'm going to fix this, I think I passed by a cafe that is literally about a 5 min walk from here so maybe they have cupcakes or what. But you stay right here and remain calm and I will just go and hopefully bring back our souvenirs."

"Okay, Aly! I'm really very sorry I'll take care of the program!"

And I ran my way towards the exit. I ran so fast that in just 3 minutes, I arrived at the cafe. Wow the atmosphere of this cafe is so relaxing that I'm tempted to sit and just take a - NO ALY YOU CAN'T TAKE A BREAK YOU HAVE TO FIND SOUVENIRS! I approached the cashier and I find a man who looks about my age, in his plain blue polo shirt and red shorts. Since he's the only one who's not in a uniform, I'm guessing he's the owner of the cafe.

"Hello uh do you happen to uh have like have 50 cupcakes I really need it as souvenirs for an event that is about to start in a few minutes." I said while heavily trying to catch a breath."

"Woah slow down, miss. Catch a breath first. Unfortunately we have a maximum of 25 chocolate cupcakes right now but tell you what, maybe 25 lollipops can make up for the other half?"

"You know what I'll take it whatever you have just please make it quick I'm in a ticking clock."

"Alright, we got you. Here just take a sit for a moment and have a glass of water." The man accompanied me to a table near the cashier and handed me a glass of water.

"Thank you so much, how much would it be?"

"It'll be 5000 pesos."

"Okay, here's the -" I took out my wallet in my pocket except there was no wallet, just a phone. You got to be kidding me did I just forget my wallet how bad could this day get. I think the man saw the frantic look on my face.

"Did you forget your wallet? Hey don't worry since the cupcake boxes are a lot to carry. I'll let one of my crew, Mark, help you carry them and then you can pay him when you get there. Oh and look the cupcakes and lollipops are ready." Mark handed me some of the boxes while he held the others.

"Thank you so much, Sir. You really saved me today. I promise I'll give him the payment once we get back to the venue. I better get going now bye!"
