It was a sunny Tuesday morning and Patty already left for her teacher seminar thing. I just woke up and it's currently 8:40 in the morning. As usual, it took me about 30-40 minutes to fix myself.  I fixed my bed and got myself to the bathroom for a fresh bath. I chose my outfit from my closet and I felt like just wearing a plain white shirt and denim pants with my white sneakers. I didn't feel like cooking myself breakfast and decided to probably have brunch with Jess at work later. I was getting my car keys and about to head out of my apartment when suddenly I saw the cup from yesterday on the same table as my car keys. Oh, right. I still have to pay this guy for a drink I didn't even ask for. But I do appreciate it so I'll just drop by and pay for it, and it was pretty tasty so I might order it again on the go.

Since the cafe was just near my place, I quickly arrived and wow the place was jam-packed. I guess a lot of people spend their mornings here before heading to work. I line up-ed at the counter and noticed that the guy Dustin who I'm looking for seems to not be here today.

"Good morning, miss. May I take your order?" the lady at the counter with a ponytail and glasses asked me.

"Oh uhm is Dustin around?"

"Yes he's just in the kitchen checking in on the staff. Please wait a moment. Oh may I know your name miss?"

"Just tell him that I'm the lady who ordered a lot of cupcakes yesterday from him." After a few minutes, a familiar figure followed the lady. Okay I admit he's cute.

"Hey, it's you! You came." Dustin said.

"Yeah I'm just here to pay for the drink I didn't order. Here. But it was tasty though and I appreciate it so thank you."

"I was just kidding of course you don't have to pay for it. It was just my way of you know.."

"Can't believe my friend was right.. but I'm sorry I have to go to work I really just came here to thank you and pay for the drink. Speaking of, what's the name of the drink? You know I'll order one right now. Take out please."

"It's a sweet jasmine tea. Don't pay for this or the drink before this. It's all on me."

"But hey -" I kept on insisting but I was keeping the line long so I got embarrassed.

"C'mon you're keeping everyone waiting. Wait there at the table, I'll sit with you in a few minutes." I had no choice but to agree and wait for my drink at the table near the kitchen. While waiting, I actually got to take a closer look at the entire cafe. The cafe's name is La Maison which means "home" in French according to google translate which I just searched right now. The entire cafe really does have a home-y vibes to it. From the comfortable sofas, to the warm ambiance, to the caffeinated and breakfast food aroma, to the old fashion decorations and furnitures.

"One sweet jasmine tea for you..?" I didn't understand why he was saying this in a question manner but then I suddenly got it.

"Oh right I'm Aly. Thank you."

"Nice to finally know your name, Aly. To be honest, I didn't know if leaving you that note would actually work but I'm really glad it did."

"Why would you want to see me again though?"

"I wanted to get to know you more. It may sound so straightforward but yeah it's true. And since you're already here I was actually wondering if you'd like to have brunch with me? I know you're busy with your work but I figured you might need a recharge?" I already knew my response but somehow for the last minute, it changed and I was also surprised.

"You're lucky I didn't eat breakfast and I could actually use a brunch right now. So okay but please let me pay for this one? I won't take no for an answer." He nodded and smiled at me. Okay I guess he's charming too. We spent an hour eating and talking and wow this guy is interesting. We talked about our work, our interests and all. After we finished our food, I paid for the bill and he accompanied me on the way to my car.
