Darkness encapsulated her. Motionless and terrified she lay, unaware of the dangers swarming her exposed flesh. The arrows of hope shot blindly towards her lay useless on the ground, as her mind slipped further from their reach. Voices muffled, words molded together in an indistinguishable mantra, her eyes blind to the world beyond her mind.
She longed for the light that flooded those around her. Her mind was an abyss of broken thoughts, the mausoleum of her body reminisces the echo of a heartbeat.
She was far away, so far away.
Grappling at nothing, trying desperately to just hold onto something, anything to keep herself grounded as the light at the end of the tunnel rushes towards her at a frightening rate, imploring her to embrace it.
She closes her eyes. Takes a breath. Looks up...
And it's black once again.
