after the incident at the library, sihun walked ara home and from then on, the two of them started to get closer. they went to the library together to study after school several times a week and even had meals together occasionally.

this went on for a few months and now, since the two of them were starting to get comfortable around each other, sihun started to think if he should let ara know how he felt about her.

after being reassured by yohan multiple times that ara liked him back, sihun finally decided to confess.

he wanted to make his confession a memorable one and with the help of yohan, he came up with the perfect confession plan.

sihun pre-ordered the latest romance novel from ara's favourite author and highlighted ever phrase that conveyed his feelings towards her.

yohan couldn't stop teasing sihun about how cheesy he was but sihun just ignored him.

to put his plan into action, sihun asked ara out to study at the library and she agreed like always.

the two of them sat at their usual seat at the corner of the library. with their earphones plugged in, they were fully engrossed in their work. well, sihun was pretending to be fully engrossed while he watched yohan quietly helped him empty the library.

once the last person left the library, yohan winked at sihun and mouthed 'hwaiting!' before leaving as well.

"ara-ah?" sihun says, causing ara to look up at him.

"yeah?" she replied.

"i got this for you," he said shyly as he handed ara a pale pink box which stored the book.

"huh? what's that?" ara asks as she pulled out the earpiece from her ears gently.

"open it up and see," sihun smiles.

ara gave the boy a confused smile before lifting up the lid of the box.

her mouth widened as she saw the novel sitting in the box covered with flower petals.

"where did you get this from? wasn't it sold out the day it was published? i couldn't find it anywhere!" ara exclaims as she looked at sihun in delight.

"well... i... i... got it on the day it was released," sihun blushed.

ara picked up the book and smiled as she admired its cover.

sihun couldn't help but smile too, seeing how happy ara looked. however, he couldn't help his heartbeat from speeding up as well as he watched ara flipped open the book.

on the first page, sihun wrote in on a post it with bolded letters : DEAR ARA,

ara gasped softly as she read the words. she looked up at sihun who was trying his best to smile, but he was far to nervous.

she turned the page and started reading all the words and phrases that sihun had highlighted.

it took a while before she finally reached the end. ara's chest tightens as she read the last three highlighted words on the last page : I LOVE YOU.

her heart raced as she flipped the page to see another post-it on the cover of the book.

ara, i'm sorry that i have to express my feelings through this and not with my own words, but will you be willing to be my library patner?

sihun closed his eyes momentarily as he sucked in a deep breath. he couldn't bring himself to hear ara's response.

ara finally looked up at sihun as so many thoughts went through her head at once.

"i'm sorry i... please don't be pressurized by this... i just wanted to let you know how i feel but you don't have to -"

"yes," ara cut sihun off.

"huh?" sihun's eyes widened at what ara just said.

"in response to your question -" ara says as she waved the book in mid-air.

" - yes, i'm willing to," she finished off.

"you're... what? you're willing to... willing to..." sihun stuttered, taken aback.

"yeah," ara said again, chuckling slightly.

sihun couldn't believe it, ara said yes!

he looked at ara as he broke into a wide smile.

just like that, the two of them locked eyes, smiling at each other like complete fools.

yohan secretly snapped a photo of the lovebirds from behind the transparent library door.

"mission success," he muttered to himself, grinning proudly.
