"Do not make me open this door and force feed you like a child," I huffed looking at Godric in the corner of his cage.
"That is not necessary....." Godric tilted his head to the side trying to think of my name. He looked to my wrist but stayed rooted to his spot. "Apologies, I do not know your name, child."
"At least I'm not the one acting like one," I muttered but with the small twitch of his brow I knew he heard me. "Maria, nice to meet you." I turned my hand to shake his instead of offering my wrist.
Stepping forward his hand grasped mine and placed a kiss on the back of my knuckles while I tried shaking it. His grip tightened to keep my hand from moving and placed a proper kiss on the back of my hand. "Pleasure to meet you, Maria. I am Godric, but seeing as how you mentioned my child, I assume you know exactly who I am." Godric went to let go of my hand but I held on to him. I knew he could pull away at any point but holding his hand made me feel as though I had just a little bit of control in this situation..
I leaned forward whispering even thought I knew no one else was down here, "well that is why I am here." I smirked giving him a little wink. Flipping my arm so my wrist was upwards I gave him an expectant look. "Not asking you to drain me, just a sip," I said looking into his green eyes. Why was it whenever I meet a vampire, they're hot. It's not fair on the ovaries. "AB blood type." I waved my arm in front of him. Godric pulled away from me again.
"Eric really did send you," Godric said shaking his head and turning away from me.
"Technically I was on a little vaca, but Eric called, his panicking self asking me to go look for you."
Godric whipped around. "Are you under his control, child?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.
"He raised his voice to me once and sulked for three days. If the bitch glamoured me he'd be regrowing some fangs." I crossed my arms sighing to myself. I was pretty well known by higher up vampires. Whenever they hire me it's for the same things, gathering information, infiltrating human organizations or just someone to have a decent conversation with. Apparently they get bored having the same vampires around for decades. Not that I minded, but even working for all the other vampires, I've always went back to Eric the second he picked up that phone.
I couldn't wrap my head around how we got along, I legit laughed in his face when he 'wanted a taste' after that it went smoothly between us. I couldn't remember a time I didn't know about vampires and other supernatural creatures. It's better to know what is out there ready to eat me then oblivious. Ironically I'm more scared of humans still.
"He is a vampire, child." Godric's voice seemed to anchor me back to what we were originally talking about.
"And yet I'd rather in a room with a hungry Eric than with a human I have yet to meet." My lips were tightly pressed together seeming more like a grimace of pain than a smile.
Godric was studying me with a passive look. "You would not fear him, even under certain circumstances?"
'I would hate to lose you, it is rare to find genuine loyalty.'
'You are the closest thing I have had to a friend in a long time.'
'Thank you.'
'If I ever lose you.... I think not even meeting the sun could distract me from that pain.'
'Shut up, when I become your maker you will see how much I care.'
'Do not think you can look at me like that and just.... fine.'
I felt a tug at the corner of my mouth when I thought of all the things Eric's said to me. If I told anyone he said those things they would lock me up and call me insane.
