I hastily wiped my far-from-perfect makeup of my face and scowled at the person I saw in the mirror. I pulled my braids out and threw the ribbons that once held them in, into the trash. I ripped my tight dress off and put on a t-shirt and shorts. I switched my heels out for flip flops and pointed at myself in the mirror.

"You are despicable!" I spat.

I tossed on a coat and ran out to my car. I drove and drove with no destination. Soon I saw a huge cliff that held a great view of a waterfall.

I sucked in a breath and climbed out of the car and stood on the ledge of the cliff.

I shivered and pulled the jacket tighter around me and looked down.

This is for the best, my mind kept screaming at me.

No one will ever love you, my heart pounded.

You don't belong here, I thought.

I never have and never will.

I shuffled forwards so my toes were peeking over the cliff. Then I dove down into the abyss.

Then someone wrapped their arms around me and pulled me back up.

They put me down on the ground and without looking I ran past them and tried to jump again.

And they caught me again.

I rolled my eyes and glared at them. I recognized their face immediately and scowled.

"Why of all people would you save me?"

"Because you needed it."

"Right," I rolled my eyes.

"I'm being serious."

"So am I." I got up and stomped back over to my car and got in. He jogged over and knocked on my window.

I grudgingly rolled it down. "What?" I snapped.

He put his hands on both of my cheeks and kissed me.

This turd kissed me.

And I kissed back. He hesitantly pulled away and looked at me.

"Of all people, why did you save me?" I asked.

"Because I love you."

"Well shit."

"What?" He asked, his eyebrows creasing in confusion.

"I might love you too."
