(Sapphire's POV)

I woke up to my phone alarm going off, the loud guitar rift was screaming louder as seconds ticked by. I lifted my head off my pillow and slapped my hand down on my phone which should have been on my bedside table, but with all my tossing and turning and not being able to sleep that well thanks to the sounds of thunder plus my inability to sleep anyway... It somehow landed on the floor. I turned over and sat up, scooting myself to the side of the bed, my feet planting on the floor as I bent over and scooped it up in my hands. I quickly silenced the alarm and set my phone down, then ran my hands over my face as I tried to wake up more. I headed for the bathroom for my morning routine, deciding not to go for a jog this morning as it was still raining, and thunder was heard off in the distance. I liked days like this, and yet hated them. After my shower I tossed on a pair of jeans and a plain blue v neck t-shirt, followed by a deep blue rain jacket. I put the hood up and made sure I had my keys, I opted for my black ankle boots and after slipping them on I left my apartment.

I was still tired and even though I made the decision to skip breakfast, I needed my coffee. And of course my favorite little shop was right on the corner. I made it inside, taking my hood down to fix my hair. I smiled as I walked up to the counter and ordered.

"Good morning Miss, what can I get you?" The very perky and kind of cute barista boy that I usually saw working was of course greeting me with the typical greeting. I could almost see the resentment of the greeting in his eyes, and doing my best not to laugh I answered him.

"Morning, I'm good.. I'll take an Americano please." I ordered the same thing I always did, out of habit maybe. The cute guy gave his signature smile and nodded as he rang up my order.

"Will that be all?" He asked politely. I nodded.

"Yeah.." I said plainly as I got my wallet out. Handing him a twenty, he took it and handed me back my change which I just dumped into the tip jar placed by the register. Within a few moments the cup was placed on the counter, the guy slid it over to me with another smile.

"Here you go Miss." He said as I wrapped my hand around the cup and nodded to him. I took a seat by the window and sipped on my morning beverage. Glancing at my watch, I knew it was still a little early, but I always liked going in to work early... I stared off at the window and watched people walking along with umbrellas and raincoats. I smiled at a few children who were being led down the street by their mother, both children stopping at every puddle to jump into it. The splash made them smile and I assumed they were laughing, their mother on the other hand... having her pants soaked was not feeling the fun the two were having. I looked away from them and watched a few cars go by... suddenly getting this eerie chill up my spine. I shrugged it off and decided to head to work.

I entered the building through the back and was met with the usual early morning silence. Heading right for the dressing room area for the staff I placed my coffee down on the table and took out my phone, as I got my ear buds out of my pocket I heard some growling and swearing. I recognized the voice as Mr. Lee's. I looked back at the doors and noticed a figure walking back and forth of the double doors leading into the club.

I wasn't sure what was happening but suddenly the doors opened and Peri came through with a huge trash bag. His expression was more pissed off than anything, until he met my gaze.

"Saph." He said in slight surprise. "You're here early... wait.. you always come in early." He mumbled. I grinned and nodded to him as he reached the doorway.

"Yeah. What's with Mr. Lee?" I asked, wondering why he was swearing up a storm.

"Oh, another break in, but this time the assholes trashed the place. Mr. Lee's friend managed to distract them, but he got hurt pretty badly I guess." He said looking back for a moment at where he came from. I nodded and moved past him.
