The shard, aside from the expense of it (resulting in how how annoyed Elvis had been at the thought of it), was actually a pretty lovely place to catch up and lunch with her Mother and sister.

"What did you guys think of the party, then?" Perrie asked as she tucked into her slice of cheesecake. They'd already had their main course and God was it good.

"Oh Perrie, it were completely brilliant." Debbie Edwards said from where she sat between the two girls at the small, square table with a brilliant view of London. She looked over to Elvis before reaching over to squeeze her hand over the table. "So good to see my baby girl, too. I don't nearly see enough of you."

Elvis rolled her eyes, but the slight smile on her face was genuine. "It's not like I've moved or anything. You've always know where to find me, Mam."

Debbie laughed at the joke while Perrie watched the two with beady, curious eyes and a smug smile. "You know I'm busy a lot, pet. I try and make it up to see my babies as often as possible."

By 'my babies', she meant Jonnie and Elvis who both lived in London, but by the way that Debbie was talking, you'd think she'd live half a world a way or something. Instead, she lived in Surrey, a county just outside London where she lived mere minutes away from her eldest daughter, Perrie. Jonnie and Elvis saw more of their Dad, who lived in South Shields, than they did of their Mum. Regardless of this, Elvis appreciated and loved every moment she spent with her Mum.

"I know that, Mam." Elvis said, taking a big sip of her cocktail in order to stop herself from saying something she'd immediately regret. "I loved it, Pez. Just an added bonus that Trisha and Amy behaved as well."

Perrie laughed from the other side of the table. "Well, it wouldn't have been the same without them."

Debbie hummed, a serious expression on her face. Elvis and Perrie immediately turned to look at her, the older of the two sure she knew what was about to come. "Trisha is a lovely girl, Elvie. Great head on her shoulders, but Amy..."

Perrie coughed, loudly, upon seeing the stoney faced expression on her sisters face, and gave her Mum a look that basically said, shut up.

Elvis could almost understand her Mum's distaste for Amy. After all, Amy had once told Debbie that she had consistently let her youngest daughter down when she'd been in a drunken state. Amy had only been stopped by Trisha, who eventually forcefully held the girl back. However, that didn't make Elvis any less angry at the way her Mother spoke about her.

"Jade said that yous had a nice chat, Ell." Perrie said, attempting to steer the conversation into another, more pleasant direction.

Elvis looked up in alarm though, the mouthful of chocolate cake which was on its way to her mouth forgotten. Oh god, had Jade had told Perrie? It would make sense, Jade and Perrie had always been incredibly close. But Perrie would surely have mentioned it already, right? She would definitely rat her out to their Mum and Dad and God, that'd be awkward. Especially because it's not true. "She did? What did she say?"

Perrie frowned, but tried not to let on to much because Elvis was taking not so subtle glances at their Mam in what looked like absolute horror. "Just that.. I mean she didn't say. Just that she loves you and how much fun you are, Jesy and Leigh think so too."
