She had somehow managed to drift off on Jade's shoulder, and when she woke up, it was dark outside and Jade was gone. The disappointment she felt was very short lived however, as when she rolled over she felt a crinkle beneath her head. There was a note on her pillow saying 'Just gone to get some bits for tea from the shop, be back soon x'.

The fluttering feeling she felt within her stomach had her smiling, and suddenly she felt more conscious of herself than she had done in days. The mirror on her wall, revealing her disheveled reflection, was a sick reminder of her days of neglecting herself, and she made the quick decision to risk crossing the hallway to the shower, already feeling embarrassed that anyone, let alone Jade, had seen her in this state.

When she came back into her room twenty minutes later, Jade was lay lazily across Elvis's bed, scrolling through something on her phone, an unopened takeaway pizza box and a plastic shopping bag in front of her.

"Feeling better?" Jade asked, smiling up at Elvis as she put her phone away, shifting over to make room for the pyjama clad girl in front of her.

"Much."

"Well," Jade began, opening the box up. "I thought we could eat this and then bake some cookies. I was craving cookies in the shop but couldn't bring myself to buy any... you know how expensive cookies are? Well, I ended up buying the ingredients instead, which actually came to more, but... we move."

Elvis laughed as she bit into a slice of pizza, still not feeling completely herself. She could tell that Jade was trying to make an effort to keep her busy and distracted in an attempt to set her at ease a bit more, and she suddenly wondered if she'd gone to Trisha or Amy for advice. Their tactics were incredibly similar.

Baking cookies with Jade was as entertaining as Elvis thought it would be. Somehow, she'd ended up with a face full of flour, and the kitchen looked like it had been hit by a bomb by the time the cookies were in the oven.

It was the longest she'd gone without thinking about Corey in days.

If Trisha and Amy had been in, they'd stayed hidden away until the moment Elvis cracked an egg on Jade's head while she'd been wiping down a surface, resulting in a loud shriek coming from the brunette. Trisha had appeared in a second, alarm written across her face and a bat in hand, obviously anticipating a very different scene. The two Geordie's looked guilty for a second, then burst out laughing at Trisha's expression.

Trisha cocked a brow, looking curiously at the pair and Elvis swore she saw a slight smirk on her lips, before she retreated back into her room.

"You absolute twat, Presley." Jade said, glaring hard at the blonde as she threw the yolk from the egg at Elvis, hitting her square in the face before immediately following this with a handful of flour.

Jade burst out laughing, not being able to take the flour faced girl in front of her seriously. Elvis made a move to grab the milk, but was cut off by a knock at the door to the flat.

"Saved by the bell." Elvis glared as she moved around Jade, brushing some flour off her top slightly in anticipation for whoever was there. She was expecting a neighbour telling them to quieten down, or maybe Amy had forgotten her key and needed letting in (again. If that was the case, it would be the forth time food month alone). She was absolutely not expecting it to be Corey, stood there with a shy smile and a Chinese takeaway in one hand, a bottle of wine in the other. His shy smile quickly turned into a frown though, when he saw the state of Elvis.

"You've got a little something on your face, babe." He said after a minute, laughing to himself. Elvis's mouth opened slightly, but she couldn't speak, her face heating up as she thought of the girl in her kitchen, the girl she'd promised she wouldn't see anymore. It all came crashing back, and suddenly all she felt was guilt. Corey didn't notice. "I'm sorry, I should have called ahead but I just... needed to see you... Gonna invite me in or you just gonna stand there?"
