while jungkook was away taehyung was moping around at home and in class because his love wasn't there.
"ooh" taehyung groans loudly as he and jimin walk through the hallways. he sneaks a glance at his closest companion and realized he was texting his boyfriend, not paying attention to him.
taehyung rolls his eyes and groans louder and leans against the shorter, but older boy.
jimin sighs and pockets his phone. "what's bothering you today tae, besides that the brat hasn't returned."
"he's not a brat. he's my brat specifically." taehyung sighs dreamily.
jimin groans. "look he'll be back, he wouldn't just leave without asking you out, he's too pussy."
"shut up, midget. i know he'll be back, but i want him to ask me out to the prom so i can finally be with my knight and shinning armor." taehyung dramatically turns around and faces the poster advertising the prom coming up tomorrow.
jimin's face falls, because of the midget comment and because his best friend really is in love.
he watched in silence for a few moments before whipping out his phone again

pocketing his phone again, he turns his attention to his bestfriend, who's now caught the attention of a girl- he recalls her name was aeyoung.
"hey taehyung! i wanted to ask you if you would accompany me to the prom tomorrow?" she bits her lip and casts her eyes down. "i felt too nervous to ask you before, but i'm glad i can do it now!" aeyoung smiles brightly at him. "so is it a yes?"
taehyung snaps out his trance at 'yes'. "i'm sorry- what was that?"
her face falls a little. "is it a yes? to the dance i mean"
taehyung's perplexed on what he wants to allow out of his mouth. he was saving himself for jungkook when he comes back, but he feels guilty for wanting to turn down this sweet girl.
not quite trusting his mouth, he simply nods his head.
the girl beams at him. "really?" another nod. she squeals and kisses his cheek. "see you tomorrow, taehyung." she winks at jimin and walks away.
jimin's eyes follow her retreating back. he turns to his friend, "what the fuck was that?"
"i don't know. oh god jungkook's gonna hate me."
"i honestly doubt that with my whole heart." they both hear a familiar voice say.
both boys turn around to the face of the smiling hoseok.
"hoseok hyung!" they say in unison.
"alright kids, i got a part to fulfill in this whole shindig so ready your asses."
he turns to taehyung. "we are gonna get you ready for the prom and a little surprise, m'kay?"
"ooh surprise, what is it?"
"shh you'll see, it's special. now let's go home."
he leads the way, taehyung and jimin share a look and both shrug as they follow one of their beloved hyungs.
