I was exhausted from the last couple of days and slept for a long time, when I woke up, I noticed that I had slept for 12 hours straight. I got up and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
"Hey Jarvis?"
"Yes Ms. Stark."
"Is dad in the lab?"
"Yes and he wanted me to tell you that there are donuts in the cupboard."
"Nice." I grabbed a couple of donuts and some chocolate milk when Pepper walked in.
"Oh my god you scared me. Where's your dad?"
"Sorry Peps, he's in the lab I was heading down anyway." We both walked down the stairs to see that Dad was getting his suit off with the help of Jarvis. I noticed that he changed the color to red and yellow. "You changed the color. I like it."
"I designed this to come off." He said yelling at Jarvis as they were taking the suit off.
"What's going on here?" Pepper asked.
"Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing."
"Are those bullet holes?"
"Dad is this what was Rhodey was talking about? You almost got shot down by the government."
"Yeah, that wasn't the plan but I did save a lot of people sooo win win." Pepper went back upstairs and I sat in the shop with dad helping him when I can. "Hey Jarvis, can you call Ms. Potts down here please." Jarvis called Pepper and she walked down the stairs and I opened the door for her.
"Hey dad, I'm gonna head up and take a shower and you probably should too." I said as I headed up the staris.
Tony's P.O.V
"Are you busy? I need you to go to my office and hack into the mainframe. You're gonna retrieve all the recent shipping manifests. This is a lock chip, this will get you in. It's probably under Executive Files, if not... they put it on a ghost drive, in which case you need to look for the lowest numeric heading."
"And what do you plan to do with this information if I bring it back here?" She asked.
"They've been dealing under the table, I'm gonna stop them. I'm gonna find my weapons and destroy them."
"Tony...you know that I would help you with anything, but I can not help you if you're
gonna start all of this again."
"There is nothing except this. There's no art openings, there's no benefit, there's nothing to sign. There's the next mission, and nothing else."
"Is that so? Well, then I quit." She said as she threw the drive down and started to walk out.
"You stood by my side all these years while I reaped the benefits of destruction. And now that I'm trying to protect the people that I've put in harm's way, your going to walk out?"
"You're gonna kill yourself, Tony. I'm not gonna be a part of it."
"I shouldn't be alive unless it was for a reason. I'm not crazy, Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart that it's right."
Autumn's P.O.V
"Hey dad I'm going to get some dinner at the cafe down the street. You want the usual?"
"Yes that would be great remember no pickles. See you when get back.
"Alright Love you be back in 15." I walked out and got on my moped to head to the cafe to get food. I ordered mine and Dad's burger and they made it fairly quickly so I was able to be back in 10 minutes. As I rode back to the house, I brought my moped into the garage since it was gonna rain and I noticed that Jarvis didn't greet me as usual which is very odd. I wondered if Dad was working on updating Jarvis upstairs so I started to head up to the kitchen.
"Hey dad, I'm home. I brought you some fries and the lady put that sauce that you like on the side." I yelled. I set the bag of food on the counter and grabbed a glass of water. "Dad where are you? Foods ready." I said as I started to walk into the living room when I noticed that Dad was sitting on the couch not moving. I dropped my glass and ran to him. "DAD!" As I got into the living room, I noticed that his eyes got wide in fear. I turned my head to see Obi in the corner then I felt a strong pressure rush over my body as I couldn't move anymore. I looked over to see a couple of men come over before blackness came.
Obidah's P.O.V
I snuck up behind Tony as he was answering his phone and used the temporary paralysis on him. "Breathe. Easy, easy. You remember this one, right? It's a shame the government didn't approve. There are so many applications regarding short-term paralysis. Ah, Tony. When I ordered the hit on you, I was worried that I was killing the golden goose. I was also worried how Autumn would feel losing the only thing she had left in this world but I figured I could kill her too that way she can finally be with her mom."
"Dad I'm home.." I heard Autumn yell.
"Speaking of the angel herself." I whispered as I stood back against the wall and looked at the men to do the same. I threw paralysis device at him and we waited. I heard her gasp as I heard glass break.
"DAD!" As soon as she walked through the door, my men used the device and she collapsed.
"Bring her out to the car, we are gonna need her to access the main reactor since Tony here locked me out." They brought her to the car as I worked on getting the reactor out of his chest. "It was smart that you locked me out Tony only leaving you to get in. But I got to thinking, there is no way that you would have the only access without adding your daughter in case something happened to you. Good news for me but not your daughter." I pulled the arc out and showed it too Tony. "Oh, it's beautiful. Ah, Tony... This is your Ninth Symphony. What a masterpiece! Look at that. This is part of your legacy along with your daughter and now I have them both." I put the reactor in the case and started to head out. "I wish you could see my prototype. It's not as conservative as yours. Too bad you had to involve Pepper in this also. I would've preferred that she lived." I left the house and got in the car. "Head to Stark industries she only has 10 minutes before she regains movement and I know she won't be too happy. Isn't that right sweetie?" I said looking at her and smiling.
