The Date

Surely enough Jordan had called her, they had agreed to a date not the next day because she was working the night shift but the day after she had the day off.
The next day wasn't too bad, there was a house fire where the roof caved in and the chimney fell on her lieutenant. It took a four of them to leverage the chimney off of him and pull him out. The task itself was difficult, but it was even worse when the floor was seconds from caving in with all of them on it.

When they finally made it out of the house Penelope's face was covered in soot. And her hands and lower back was hurting from lifting a chimney off of her boss. When they got back to the station she did some stretches and went for a nap in the bunk room. She slept a good 45 minutes before she was woken up by the alarm, which was only ringing for the aid car. She rolled over grabbed her phone and went to the kitchen.

Jordan
How's your shift going

She smiled typing away.
Penelope
I just can't wait for this day off

The rest of the day went a smooth as it could for a firefighter. There was a restaurant that caught fire, the building flashed over with a few her teammates inside while she was working the hose with Ana. Luckily everyone got out of there alive. The rest were medical emergencies, but things turned out well in the end. Penelope could color the day a good one.

When she returned home from her shift. She took her shower plopped down on her bed.

"Hi" She said into her phone

"Hey how was your day?" He asked

"Any day no one dies is a good day."

"Good. I'm excited for tomorrow."

"Me too."
And they talked until they could no longer keep their eyes open.

The next morning, Penelope got up after 10 am and made herself breakfast. She worked out for about an hour and a half and did her laundry, while she watched some show on Hulu that was only just holding her attention enough.

Around 4 she had finished folding her clothes and forced herself to have enough willpower to put the clothes away.
It was almost 5 when she felt the hair on her legs and decided it was time to get in the shower.

She was dressed in some nice fitting jeans and nice top and she put some effort into her makeup. She had just put her heels  on when Jordan knocked on her door.

When she greeted him she looked at his fresh white tee and how good his jeans fit him and questioned how he could ever be single.

"Hi, you look amazing." He said to her smiling, his eyes scanning the way she filled out her jeans. And god bless her genes, he thought.
"you don't look too bad yourself." She smiled at him going in for a hug, which he gladly accepted. Her perfume hit his nose and he didn't want to let go. She could smell his body wash and his hands caressed her in just the right places. She almost wanted to tell him forget dinner and take him on her living room floor. Much to his dismay she pulled away first.

"Shall we get going?" She asked with a smile, he smiled back with a nod missing the smell of her already. He watched in awe as she locked her door and turned to him. Her natural hair had been slicked up into a frizzy kinky curly bun sat on top of head and her glossy lips looked fuller to him. Her shirt was a silk black camisole that tied in the back the rest of her skin on display. The smoky eyeshadow made his mind think she was giving him bedroom eyes, though his mind wasn't wrong because she was.

They held hands as they approached his car and he opened the door for her. The smiles never leaving their faces. The car ride full of secret glances and seductive smiles. His fingers were drumming the steering wheel to the song that was playing. And she stared at him while she asked him questions.
