30.) Breathtaking Skyline

(So this one is really short because it's the second to last chapter until the end and I don't have a lot planned for the ending of this book because it's just the first one of the series. So sorry for the short chapter.)

Car rides are really boring and long and after this whole fiasco I don't think I will be able to go on another one again. Especially with this load of people. It's definitely not because I'm sick of the obvious flirting of the duo behind me. I mean I would have gone to the bed of the truck if it did. But I also didn't want to have us stop while we were so close to our destination, so maybe the flirting did bother me.

"I don't know if anyone told you, but your eyes are as beautiful as the night sky." Ho-Jin flirtatiously whispers in Hoseok's ear making said boy glow bright red. You see if he wasn't constantly flirting with Hoseok then I would've thought that it was cute, but this is just so sickly sweet. Also it seems that Ho-Jin doesn't realize that his whispering is anything but quiet.

"Okay you two, I'm sick of your flirting so if you won't shut up then I'm going to shut you up myself!" Jimin yells from his spot behind the wheel –he and Yoongi traded places a few hours back before the flirting started– and boy was Jimin angry. I think he was extra angry because we has been driving the car for hours. Or maybe is was because my twin was asleep on his shoulder and he didn't want him to wake up, but that's just my opinion based on observation.

"Yeah Ho-Jin it's getting annoying." I say while I hear Jungkook hum In agreement. I felt bad for him since he was sitting right next to them in the back seats of the truck.

I guess the duo was embarrassed because I never heard a peep from them after we exposed them. I mean I would probably feel the same way if that happened to me too. But now that we have more peace and quiet I can finally go to sleep for the rest of the ride.

I was awoken by a giant gasp coming from my pink friend. We have reached the Capital skyline and now it will only take an hour before we reach the entrance. But the skyline sure was pretty.

The capital has a bunch of skyscrapers and big towers in it's premises. The tall buildings looked surreal in the darkening day. The sky was a mixture between the setting sun and the blooming night. It was a mix of yellow, orange, and a light pink that faded into purple that went into blue and green. This was such a beautiful moment and the dark silhouettes of the capital's buildings just added that little bit of flavor that makes this scene look like a dream. It was stunning and breathtaking and I can understand why Jimin was so surprised when he saw it.

As we inches closer to the entrance we began to notice a big cement wall that circled around the heart of the city. The wall made me feel uneasy because the last city we were in also had a wall, but it held no purpose. I just hope that this wall was built to actually keep out the cannibals and keep the citizens safe.

Even though this place seemed safer it also seemed a bit ominous with that dull gray wall. I wonder who is leading the city behind that wall and how well they lead. Because maybe after we get in, we could forget the worries of outside the wall. My only fear is that we might not get allowed inside the city, so all this dreaming could be worthless.

However, we all have each other and we will find another way in if the first way doesn't work.
