Chapter 4: The Plan Has Been Set In Motion
I was cleaning the book shelf when i felt a familiar ere presence.
"is there something you need, Sebastian?" I asked the slender figure standing in the hallway.
"They young master wishes to speak with you about tonight's occasion." He replied.
"Of Course." I said as I jumped down from the book shelf. I followed him into the large study which belonged to "our master". He held open the door with an extended arm motioning me to enter. I stood in front of the large mahogany desk which seated the young Earl.
"Good, you've come. We must discuss the order of events to come to tonight for it is key if we want this go smoothly." The Earl said poking the few bits of cake left on his plate with a fork.
"Yes."
"How do you suppose we attempt this?" He said tilting his head a bit.
"First, I must apologize to Sebastian, for now i understand why he is making me wear such a ridiculous outfit." I replied.
"Why is that?" the Earl questioned.
"If what I was told is correct, Earl Trancy was a victim of sexual abuse. If he sees me in this attire he with start to question the possibilities. if Sebastian plays his part as a sexual tyrant towards me, then he''l believe I'm here for the sole purpose of Sebastian's entertainment. The Earl will become enraged and try to 'save me'. Thus the bet is placed."
"What makes you think he would save you? He is quite heartless after all." The earl said with a slight smirk.
"Would you not save a young boy from a house being burnt down by Alois?" I said taking slight pleasure in making the earl cringe.
"Does that mean you have to play the part of the helpless damsel in distress?" Sebastian said placing a finger to his chin with that familiar smirk.
"I'm afraid so."
"Good, stick to your parts and do your best to make this run smoothly. You are dismissed." The young earl said shoeing us away.
"Sir, I have a question to ask though." I interrupted.
"Yes?"
"Do you not find it odd that the Trancy manor took such quick notice of my presence here?"
"Hmm, we were lucky enough that our two companies are actually proposing a business deal, so we need to meet up in person to discuss it. Which means your time will not be too waisted." The Earl said smoothly.
"i see, thank you sir." I replied bowing my head. I quickly walked out the door and down the hallway to pick back up on my duty of cleaning the bookshelves. As I entered to the room, I had finally realized Sebastian had been following.
"What else do you demand of me, you mutt." I growled at him. At this point I was fed up with Sebastian he always tried to make me cover up his messes. We both knew the outfit was just a prank, but he needed an excuse to satisfy his master's curiosity. He was too stubborn and now I had to make up for it. stupid demon.
"All that I need you to do is listen." he replied coolly.
"Why?"
"Do you wish to live? And not be harmed by Claude?"
"Fine, what do you have to say?"
"One of the reasons I was able to defeat Claude was because he was in an unhealthy state of mind. But now he is in a natural state and in better condition. he is very strong, but you can overcome that--"
