Chapter 6: Revenge Is a Dish Best Served For Dinner? Part 2
i was startled by the sudden feeling of two arms wrap around my waist like a viper.
"Uh-Finny- I can't breathe." I gasped.
"But you can't leave!" He protested.
"Yeah! 'ho else 'as the guts to mess with Sebas-tian!' Bard added.
"I know, but you guys did a fantastic job here before I came. So, you'll be fine." i reassured them.
"But why are you being transferred?" Mey-rin questioned.
"I'm afraid our young master placed a bet on her between himself and Earl Trancy, but he had lost. So, Miss. Casandra will be leaving us. Have you packed all of your things?" Sebastian said, coming out of nowhere. I swear one of these days I'm gonna punch him if he just keeps coming out of thin air. it's starting to scare me a bit.
"Yes, do you need help serving the course?"
"no, the masters are already dinning as we speak. Don't forget to wash all of your sheets." Sebastian said.
"Fine." I grumbled as I ripped them off the bed. I packed them into a tight ball in my arms. I kicked Sebastian in the shin as I passed him. "I sure as hell won't miss you." I whispered to him.
"The same here." He said smirking at me. As i closed the door behind me, I could hear the loud cries from the servants as they realised I was going to depart from them. I really had though Sebastian would have taught them better. Trusting a complete stranger? And becoming so quickly attached? For all they know I could be a wanted murderer........ Well, i am, but besides that point, they shouldn't put such trust in a complete stranger. Because what I plan for the trancy mannor, trusting me is going to be the biggest mistake they ever made. I thought to myself smirking as I headed towards the laundry room.
"The damned idiot can wash these himself." i said as I tossed them into the dirty pile of garments.
"I really do hope you do not have this kind of attitude when working at our manor." the ghost of a butler said.
"I really do hope you don't sneak up on me like this when I work there." I said ignoring him and walking back towards the main hall to where Sebastian would take my suitcase.
"no promises." he replied as he caught up with me. I could feel his eyes studying me. Watching my every move, those smoldering, crisp eyes penetrated every inch of me. I was starting to feel uneasy about it. I kept my gaze on the embroidered rug below me. counting each step. Until....
*SMACK*
My face hitting head on with one of the hardest walls I've ever felt. I feel backwards from the force of the structured wall.
"owwww..." I mumbled as I picked myself off the ground.
"Did you just seriously walk into a wall?" Sebastian teased me as he held a slender finger to his chin.
"Shut up." i grumbled at him.
"Klutz." Claude stated as he walked past Sebastian snatching the suitcase in his hands.
"Well, that was just plain rude." I mumbled to Sebastian. I brushed off the suit and dirt off my dress before entering the large hall. Sebastian had already taken his position next to his master.
"Where'd the Trancy's go?" I asked Ciel.
"They are waiting for you outside in the carriage." he replied simply. I started to walk towards then door when the Earl said, "Faites bien votre travail, Miss Angeleo, et n'ayez pas peur d'etre cruel. Nous comptons sur vous, apres tout. Bonne chance."
(Do your job well, Miss. Angeleo, and don't be afaid to be cruel. We aren't counting on you after all. Get it done, and good luck.)
"Je n'ai pas besoin de chance, comte Phantomhive."
(I do not need luck, Earl Phantomhive.)
I replied as I walked through the door. Little did I know, the Trancy butler was already waiting by the door.
"Uh-uh," I said, shocked at his sudden appearance.
"Before we make our depart, I must ask you a question."
"Yes?"
"Do you plan on bringing your dog with you?"
"But, I thought you didn't like Sebastian?" I said slyly. He only looked at me with a slight smile.
"Hm, i meant that one." He replied. I followed his gaze to a slender hound in the distance. Bub barked happily at the sight of his master.
"It's not my dog." I said making my way to the carriage. I'd given a strict order to Beelzebub to stay away from me. More for his own protection. I was slightly afraid what Sebastian might do to him when I let Bub "play' in Sebastian's room.
"You could see that far?You have remarkable eye sight." He said more as a threat then a statement.
"I have a rare eye condition." I spoke quickly trying to get him off my back.
"Oh, it's not your dog, you said? Then why is he running over hear this very instant?" He questioned. In less than a second I was toppled over by Bub. He licked my face, not leaving a cell unclean with slobber. I couldn't help but giggle as he continued his silly attack.
"So he is yours then?"
"Yes," I said pushing him off and standing up, "I just thought it wouldn't be proper to have my dog in the manor, so I hid him outside." I said wiping the spit off my face.
"I see, please keep him outside then." Claude responded looking at the hell hound. Bub caught eye contact with the demonic butler. He started to growl and then gave that deathly bark sure to send any demon cowering in fear. But, Claude was un-affected by it. He merely looked down at him emotionless. Was he not afraid?
"Yes, please keep that mongrel outside." He said turning away and walking towards the horse drawn carriage. Bub continued to bark at him. I tried to plead with Bub to stop, but he insisted on barking more. Until, Claude turned around and grabbed his jaws, locking them shut.
"Keep quiet." He ordered Beelzebub. He released his jaws and Bub backed up, whimpering. I had never seen him so fear stricken, nor had he ever listened to another's commands. He didn't even listen to his original master's orders. i was a little scarred to walk behind him.
"Come along then. My master is becoming restless, and we must return to the manor before the moon rises." Claude ordered me climbing in the driver's seat of the carriage. I followed and started to climb into the carriage when Claude interrupted, "No, you must sit up here. The master is sleeping, you mustn't disturb him."
I climbed nimbly onto the seat, sitting a foot away from the devilish butler. He kept his eyes on the road as he whipped the horses, sending the carriage on its way. I leaned my head back, for Ciel had told me it was a long trip. I closed my eyes and drifted off into the warm caresse of sleep knowing no one suspected a thing.
Narrator: Little did Casandra know how horribly wrong she was, for she could not hear the terrible and devious thoughts that circled around in the butler's mind.
