Chapter 3
My heart was pounding against my chest, as soon as the demon left I let out a long sigh and inhaled deeply, I could breathe again. How could this be happening? I'm going to be in big trouble! What am I going to do?
Were the questions I was asking myself, I couldn't think straight everything was happening too fast, too fast for me to register. Why am I still alive? Why didn't he just eat me! Most demons are not like this one, He was scary yet, He... He felt different. I can't even describe him! I need to calm down I thought to myself, I took deep breathes before pulling the tee shirt over my head, shakily getting up I walked to the small window and pushed it open letting in a cold morning breeze that sent chills up my spine... It was cloudy unlike lastnight, Filled with those flying mechanisms of mass destruction polluting the skies with orange and toxic gases. I remember how that one came out of nowhere last night, I placed a hand where my wing should be. I remember the agonising pain I felt when I hurled towards the ground, My wing was on fire. My wings sprouted from my back, I examined the damage done to one that took the impact.. The feathers were coal black, I was missing a lot of feathers the bones were visible now that most of the feathers were gone. I retracted them back where they were now hidden. I sat on the bed feeling awful about it. What would the others think when they see my wing? What would Haniel say? Oh Haniel, I'm sure he's worried sick about me. I hope he'll find me.. My thoughts were everywhere worrying about my love, My bestfriend, My reputation. Sitting on the bed biting my bottom lip with my fists clenched
I was too busy worrying when I remembered
"Oh God, How long has it been?"
I was suppose to be downstairs in 5 minutes? Or was it 10? I got up off the bed pulling the blanket around myself hoping it would protect me from that demon knowing I was only being silly, I took it with me anyways and made my way to the door. Slowly and quietly opening the door peeking my head out the door way.
I stepped out into the narrow empty hall, It was silent, all that could be heard a faint sounds coming from downstairs. I hugged the blanket tighter around myself and made my way down the stairs followed by the squeaks and creaks of the wood...
It looked around the living room, It was simple like a normal human house... Nothing unusual about except for the fact that a demon would live here.. Something you don't hear everyday.
I heard the whistle of what I thought was a kettle in the kitchen I presume, Knowing the demon would be waiting there waiting, I walked to the door. The fear causing me to tremble, I held my breath as I stepped inside.
The kitchen was small but warmer than the other rooms, The pleasant warmth seeping into the blanket felt nice. The demon was sat at a round table with his back towards me, holding a cup in one hand and something else in the other, He seemed too busy to notice my arrival so I stood there awkwardly, too afraid to move.
"Come sit I won't bite," he took a sip of his cup
I took the seat across from him. The demon's hair was quite a dark shade of brown, Nicely toned with a slight tan with a nice build. He looked like an average human but from his stare you could tell he was something else
"What're you looking at?"
