Its been a week since the guys meet Laylah, saying that they will definelty be back soon and wanna skype as much as possible so they can watch over their niece and granddaughter. All Laylah did was giggle and smile the whole time the boys were giving her love and affection, like she was amazed by the big men being so loving. I know I was.

The fire felt nice on my skin as Noah and I sat around our fireplace, sipping hot chocolate and being lazy in our sweatpants and hoodies. Laylah was fast asleep beside us, her tummy exposed to the world since she was only in a diaper and little pink leggings. Her soft snoring was like a song with no rhythm, not catchy or even pretty. Just my own personal lullaby.

"Did you really want to have her?" Noah asks out of the blue, his arm around my shoulder tightening a little as he sets his cup down on the floor. I look up at him, my eyebrows furrowed as to ask,'Your kidding right?'

"Are you saying do I regret having her? I love our daughter!" I exclaim. Noah shakes his head and shhes me, his arms wrapping around me and pulling me into his chest. "No no, I didnt mean it like that love. I mean, did I pressure you into having a baby?" I glance down at Laylah and slowly shake my head no. "No, you didnt pressure me. I knew I always wanted to be a mom, I didnt know this young or really didnt plan on it but no, you didnt pressure me." I turn to face him, crossing my legs and setting my cup down in front of me. He turns and leand against the coach, his eyes glued to me.

"Now be honest, did you really want to have a baby?" I ask, keeping my eyes down as I reach out and play with his hand. His hand is covered in tattoos, going from part of his sleeve to Laylahs name written in his wrist with a pretty design underneath it that leads into a birds flying away.

"Theres always been something, I dont know what, but, I've always liked the idea of being called a dad or having kids come runing up to me yelling'daddy daddy do this, daddy daddy see what I did, daddy daddy'. Ive just loved the idea of creating something that is more than what that can simply be destroyed." He sighs with a smile, running his finger under my hand and onto my wrist where the same tattoo of Laylahs name as he has lays imprinted on me but instead of birds, its daisied being blown into the wind.

I nod my head in agreement with him, smiling as I remember the day I learned I was pregnant with Laylah. Noahs face was so priceless it almost made me cry and crack a laugh. I remember him kneeling in front of me and raising my shirt up to press his lips against my stomach.

Noah breaks the silence with a quesition thats been killing me,"What if shes you know, umm, you know like," "Like me?" I finish for him, keeping my gaze on the wood like I was the one burning it, not the fire. He pauses for a minuet then drops his head and nods yes. I take a deep breath and wait a second before releasing it.

"Then we deal with it. Same as if she was blind or deaf or even had one leg. We do the best we can." He nods his head agian, looking over at our sleeping baby whos stomach rises and falls softly. " You know," I begin, catching his attention," it isnt as bad as everyone believes. Now granted, mine isnt as severe as others. I actually havent seen Jack in a while. None of the others have showed for a long time." Noah just sighs and rests his head atop mine.

All of a sudden the silence is broken by Laylahs small sneeze, which wakes her with a jump. Noah and I laugh so hard, we can hardly hear the phone wring. I untangle from Noah and go to pick up my crying baby while he goes for the phone. I cuddle her to my chest and bounce her gently, trying to sooth her. She slowly calms down, her arms and legs flailing as her face falls and her eyes lock onto her dad at the phone.  I look up at Noah and watch him as he talks.

I furrow my brow at his tight grip on the counter, his back rigid and taunt, meaning something isnt good. I catch bits of his conversation, "God...hit a tree? Oh god...ok, be there as soon as we can. Thank you." He sets the phone back in the reciever but doesnt turn around. Laylah fidgets in my arms so I spin her around and cradle her in the crook of my elbow, keeping my eyes locked on my fiancee.

"Whats wrong Noah? One of the guys do something stupid again?" I say sarcastically, letting Laylah grab my finger and suck on it. I start to worry at his procrastination but keep it hidden. Finally, he slowly turns around and faces me, leaning back on his palms and making a effort to keep his eyes down. "Noah what is it?" I ask, trying not to sound frantic.

"Delilah, baby, im so sorry. " he says, his voice soft and weak.

"What?!" I ask harder, my grip tightening on Laylah whos been listening silently.

"Delilah, its Tony. He was in a accident."

I think hes done but pain never stops.

"Baby, hes in a coma."

And I was right, pain never stops.
