A/N: Hey! So I don't normally do author's notes because I don't like interrupting the flow the story, but I thought I should do one here just to explain a bit more about this story and how it's gonna go. :)

First off, thanks so much for reading! I'd really appreciate a vote or a comment if you ever feel so inclined. If it's not obvious, this is a zombie apocalypse Kellic fic. For the most part, however, Kellic isn't exactly the main focus of the story because I like to focus on the horror and hardships of the apocalypse. There will be a relationship that develops in the story and it does play a large part in the events, but it likely won't be super evident until much later.

It also will be stated a few times in the story, but the characters are all a little younger than they are currently in real life and for the sake of keeping the relationship uncomplicated and avoiding the sticky situations that could arise, Kellin is not married nor does he have a girlfriend. They are all around their early to mid twenties or so (I haven't actually decided on all of their exact ages) and in general their ages have the same distance between them (for example, everyone being younger than Vic, and Mike being the second oldest).

These details hopefully will help you to visualize everything a bit more clearly. I knew I wanted to mention these little tidbits specifically but let me know if there's anything else that needs to be clarified!

I really appreciate any feedback! I also have a tumblr and the url is exactly the same as it is here. I'm posting the story there as well. Updates generally should come about every month or so. I apologize for how slow that is but as much as I love this story, college is really fucking tough! I'll do my best though and I hope you enjoy!

They stayed in Seattle for two weeks.

At first they tried to go back to their hotel but when the welcome they received was far from warm or alive, they were forced to find someplace else. They didn’t even try to go to a different hotel. The entire city was crawling with horrifying creatures. Instead, they parked the RV in a fairly secluded spot under an overpass so they could regroup and wait for the shitstorm to die down. Wishful thinking, mostly. They thought maybe if they could wait the crisis out, someone would come up with the answers, life would go back to normal.

There was no normal anymore.

After two weeks of complete radio silence, no broadcasts, no television, no internet, no phone service, the Pierce the Veil crew agreed that it was doubtful they ever would hear from anyone. They wouldn’t be able to live off of the scraps in the small convenience store nearby for much longer either. Their best option would be to leave the city.

Vic woke up from a short nap to the sound of Tony and Jaime laughing. The two of them plus Mike were sitting at the small table across from the couch Vic was curled up on. He caught his brother smiling softly at whatever was being said. Leave it to Tony and Jaime to find something funny about the zombie apocalypse.

Jaime noticed Vic was awake as his friend stretched out his cramped limbs. “Hey, Vic, are we still on for that plan we made?”

“Wha?” Vic groaned out, still groggy.

“Y’know, the zombie plan? The one where we hole up in a really nice house?”

“Oh,” Vic finished getting out the kinks and his arms flopped down to his sides, one hanging off the edge of the couch. He paused contemplatively and the silence over the sound of the bus roaring along the highway was heavy. Then he realized Jaime was waiting for him to say more and frowned, looking puzzled. “…Where are we gonna find that many treadmills?”

Letting out relieved breaths, Jaime laughed and Tony smiled cheerfully. Mike briefly met Vic’s gaze cautiously, but said nothing. Vic resisted rolling his eyes. He appreciated that they were all worried but they didn’t have to treat him like he was so fragile that one touch could break him.
